X vs Georgetown (1990 NCAA)

Rewatched the tape this morning. Total team effort. Freshmen Jamison Gladden, Jamal walker, T-time Hill, Derek Strong, etc.

"They bent, but they didn't break!"

I was there and it still stand out as one of the best memories of my 4 years at X. I also recall getting caught in a traffic jam on 65, where the traffic stopped due to an accident and we actually got out of our car, walked up an exit ramp, made a pit stop at a gas station and bought a bunch of snacks while we waited for traffic to start back up. Good times!

I was at that game too -- first set of NCAA tournament games I ever attended.

I would have died if Tyrone Hill's charge after the between-the-legs bounce pass from Jamal Walker had been a turning point in the game.

I also remember the Enquirer game preview talking about how Aaron Williams and Mo Brantley would get chewed up by Georgetown's front line, and yet, they both pulled down big rebounds down the stretch.
