With the announcement last week, will you attend the inaugural (?) Skyline Chili Crosstown Classic?

I wait a long time for my Muskie hoops to begin....I'm not going to miss seeing them just because of bad decisions by some higher-ups.

I'll go to support the team, but I won't enjoy it. Unless we win by 23 and then I'll be OK with it.

is Xavier playing? Then if I am able to get there I will go and see it.

I don't think you can vote via tapatalk. But I'm in. My love of college hoops in general and our Musketeers in particular mean I must attend the game if at all able. Particularly when it is in Cincinnati.
Remember, that unsold ticket could go to a UC fan. You wouldn't want that on your soul, would you??

Buying tickets when they become available to season tix holders and then giving them to my buddy who wants to go. I won't even watch this game anymore because I'll get too annoyed about the incident that won't ever go away.

Actually, being at the game may be the only way to avoid the media's obsession over the fight next year.

I'm a little surprised that Xavier season ticket holders are saying that they won't attend. By not attending, you give UC more of a home court advantage, and more revenue.
I really don't know what you hope to accomplish by not going.

I'm giving my tickets to a Xavier alum like I'm sure a lot of other people who don't want to go might do so home court advantage won't change. I also live in Baltimore so avoiding the media won't be a problem. Everyone in Cincinnati might have that issue during "Classic" week.

I'm still buying tickets as well, and I will make sure they get in Xavier hands. I will not give them to people like your next door neighbor.

I can't be in Cincinnati, so I voted "no." But I'll sure as hell be watching, and if I could be in Cinci at the time I'd be there in a heartbeat, rooting on the team that brings us all together on this message board.

I also vote no - well first of all I wouldn't have gone this year anyway, being UC's year. As for next year, this is how I look at it. First of all part of the reason I started buying season tickets was for this game and now its not included? I remember other games that they've had at US Bank that wasn't included and I didn't go to those either. Its not that I don't want to support the team, but as a season ticket holder, I expect any of our "home" games to be included in my package. They want me to bundle up my kids and head into downtown for a Wednesday night game, then it better be in the package, otherwise, forget it. They don't respect me as a season ticket holder, then I'm not respecting or helping out the athletic ticket office.

OK!!! I don't get hot very often on this site. Usually, I just let it roll and keep my cool, but this is over the top.
For those 'season ticket' holders who aren't going "because they are disrespecting you as a 'season ticket' holder, GROW UP! You wouldn't have been included anyway; this is UC's home year. Tell me, would you rather face UC on their home court, or on a neutral court? That is the option this year and we benefit from it. That is unless all you air heads stay home. This is like the proverbial 'cutting off your nose to spite your face'.
Some of you guys are so immature you need diapers. I am closer to Depends than I am to diapers, but at least I can think rationally. Wow! Sometimes you guys wear me out. For crying out loud, put down the righteous indignation and support your team.
Am I happy with the decision to wimp out and be 'politically correct' by changing the name and the location? Hell no! But like the Beatles said in the song, 'Let it be!" It's a done deal. Remember the Serenity Prayer? God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the Courage to change the things I can; and the Wisdom to know the difference.
I'll just end with, SUPPORT YOUR TEAM!!!

Wow, I wouldn't disagree more with this if it were Hitler who said it. I guess anyone who ever sits anything out in protest of anything must be an immature baby. All you guys who know you love Chic-Fil-A but won't eat it are a bunch of whiny pussies, I guess. I must be such an awful Xavier fan because I refuse to support this abortion of a decision made by the destroyers of a great rivalry. I guess I'll have to return all my X gear and undo all those years of school there and all those games I went to and all that money I spent.
Nothing is more annoying than being told to grow up because you're on the other side of a controversial issue. It's very "pot meet kettle-ish."
I'll be watching, because it's Xavier basketball. I sure as shit won't be attending.

Wow.
Serenity prayer.
First of all you don't even have it right. Which drives me nuts. You wrote out the lazy version, or the addicts version. This is the original version:
God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
What does this have to do with basketball exactly? Am I to follow and support my team unconditionally like they are God? Is that what you are trying to say?
Your version happens to talk about courage "to change things that I can change." How is that courageous? Don't you think it's more courageous to change things that SHOULD be changed, not what you CAN change?
If you are applying this prayer in this matter then the people who you claim "wear diapers" are certainly more courageous than those who are simply willing to change things that they can.
Anyway, there's your lesson for the day.

I thought Xavier keeps the revenue, or a high percentage of the revenue, of the tickets Xavier sells. UC gets the same. If Xavier doesn't sell their share, the school gets less money. And if UC is able to sell Xavier's leftover tickets , UC gets more money.

What's so bad about that deal, assuming that's the deal? Xavier keeps what it sells. That seems pretty fair to me, assuming we get half the tickets.

Is this a real question or are you joking?
Because the old deal was we keep 100% of what we sell in our arena.
Basically if Xavier fails to sell their tickets because some fans do not want to watch the game in dump downtown, the fans will be blamed. That's awesome.
So people in charge can move the venue, come up with a deal where we get what we sell, which would be half of the tickets, and that's a fair deal.
Again, awesome. Assuming of course that is in fact the deal.

The game is never going to have the same atmosphere as it had when played on either campus. Not sure I would called the arena a "dump".
It will have plenty of parking and now will have the Banks as a positive draw for those wanting to eat and drink before the game.
Still want it on campus. But, all things considered, this is better than having no game at all I guess.

I completely get the idea that "well yeah it's better than no game at all." That's just not me I guess. I don't think we have to give up a good thing simply for made up reasons and somehow that is acceptable. Anyway...

Well, this was pretty even for awhile, it seems the scales are tipping towards "No" with the whole Dez situation.
After all this with Dez, Lyons, and all, UC must surely think this is there year. Time to send their fans running back to the Banks at 9pm to gather in the Holy Grail for some group therapy.
