Here's the thing: you don't even believe this. As I was walking out of UD Arena after watching Xavier get dominated last year, all I heard was, "Well, now we get to go down there and lose." I asked a few people why they thought that. After all, they had just beaten Xavier by 15 at home and Xavier, honestly, didn't look very good at the time. They said, "Because that's what we do." Of course, Xavier won the next two.

My wife has two degrees from Dayton. She does not pretend that the programs are remotely close to each other. With Dayton up 6 in the A-10 tournament, she said, "This is where Dayton is Dayton and Xavier is Xavier." She was right.

Other than CJ=Chris Johnson and I'm assuming Kavs is Kavanaugh, I have no idea who any of the UD players mentioned above are. So they must be good. Yep, I'm sure the incoming freshmen class are better than Xavier's #16 ranked recruiting class, that's a given.

With Benson coming back, Gavrilovic will be lucky to see any minutes. I'm not sure what gives him the idea that Kavanaugh will improve. He's undersized with disproportionately small arms. Whatever player he ever had the potential to become, he has already become.

With the loss of CJ, what will AM do on the OE in their offensive sets? That's assuming of course that VS, or JB, or maybe MD haven't committed a TO in the 45 seconds they need to shoot.

On D, AM will have to look at the 2-3 zone from t to t, rather than go man to man when the other team has drawn up their X&O's. KD will need to pressure at the 1 and AG will have to stop being all French and allowing the other team to attack in the heart of the D.

Dayton's top freshmen is rated the same as Xavier's lowest. Oh and ya boy Dyshawn Pierre is from Canada, no need for further insult there. The difference in recruiting is just hilarious, out of 9 offers for the 2012 class X got 4 commitments, out of 19 Dayton got 4 as well. Chris Thomas, our lone 2013 commitment is ranked higher than any player considering Dayton.
