What does this mean??
Was he brought on knowing from the beginning that he would deal with expansion/realignment and then step down??
Does he think there are more shakeups to come that he's not capable of dealing with??
Has he simply had enough??
Was he the realignment guy, and now they're replacing him with the media guy??
Two weeks before Spring meetings and a few months before the negotiation of their new contract and the commissioner steps down.
People will speculate all day long, including the media. I wouldn't be too quick to listen to anything the media says, tough (not that I ever am). We have seen many reports that turned out to be bogus, and many major events that went completely unreported and unforecasted until the shit hit the fan. This definitely falls into the latter category. If they had no idea he was even leaving, which they apparently didn't, then there is no reason to believe that they would suddenly know why he left.
