...actually, no it hasn't. We've failed to play up to our standards in a conference that we fit into like a square keg into a round refrigerator.

Regardless of our chronic underperformance, I've enjoyed the series with you guys and the atmosphere around this board. You guys have a class program and a great fan base... you're really the only A10 school that I actually enjoyed playing. I'll miss that, and I'll be rooting for you guys after we're gone.

Hopefully we can actually do something this year to go out on a good note.

I always liked that Charlotte became a member of the conference.

I hope you guys make out okay with your football goals and objectives. Hopefully, Charlotte basketball will be good again, regardless of what happens with the sport involving the odd shaped ball.

Hey...that was MOR's fault. I had to personally recover for both of us this past year.
He did go to the Georgia game in Athens though, so we managed that one.

They really didn't do crap while they were in the A-10, except for beating Xavier (more than once) with a far crappier team. The year they cost us 16-0 really chaps my ass. They typically underperformed significantly in OOC play as well.

It's unfortunate we didn't get the Charlotte we thought we were getting.

They do have some pretty good fans.

I do hope we continue to play OOC series against some A10 teams. That was one of the saddest things about ending our first period in C-USA: losing those games against Cincinnati, Louisville, and Memphis. I don't want that to happen with Xavier and... well...

...hell, I don't want to play any other A10 teams anymore, to be honest.

Our AD actually said he's sad to see Charlotte go. While he said you guys didn't live up to your end on the basketball court most of the other sports were a huge positive for the A10.

BY the way, cool moment last night. We were talking to one of the Marriott Resort employees last night and when we mentioned we were from Ohio, he said that he went to "University" in Ohio. When my friend asked which one, he said "XAVIER" . He's a VI native, his name is Sean, and he graduated in 1991. He was all up on the school and basketball team. He's really hoping that XU plays down here soon again.

When we parted, we exchanged the "XU" handshake.

We've got proud alums all over the world, baby!
