Myles Davis' tweet last night was a bit concerning.

” I am really thinking maybe I made a bad decision by deciding too early in July...”

He committed to us last July. Does anyone have any insight into this?

Yes, this is one of the big negatives when it comes to Twitter. Just the nature of the business when dealing with 18 year old kids though. Easy to lose sight of this. It's not like he can go anywhere. LOI is signed. He'll be fine. I'll leave things like this to Mack and company.

I would imagine someone hacked into his Twitter account.

3 days ago Semaj and Myles were tweeting back and forth and it sounded as if Myles hadn't qualifed yet. Semaj asked if he had to "take that test again" and he said yes. Semaj responded he was good and had already qualified off the SAT.

I didn't think too much of it at the time, but sounds like things could be snowballing?

Maybe this means X is taking Torian Graham?

and yes i do realize I'm reading too much into a tweet from an 18 year old.

I'm pretty sure I heard Torian Graham was an extremely long shot to qualify...

If we lose Davis we had better have another good SG guard coming in. We need a 2 guard in this class.

Rivals is saying that it was just his teammates messing with him because he left his Twitter page open. Damn pesky kids acting like kids...

Probably not. I think XU targets borderline academic players because they have an edge with them.

Pimp, I'm getting damn sick and tired of you making too much sense all the time...Yeah, in case of others reading this whose Wunderlick and aquatic skills aren't as good as Smydra's. That was said in jest. Like that little dog in the travelers commercial, "Worry, worry, worry. But how does he get into his fxxking safety deposit box in the first place? He has no fingers to hold the key. Damn, I hate the off-season and Twitter and Facebook and linked In and kiss my......:mad::confused:

Scenario:

Player/Recruit tweets something.
Message Boards light up to decipher meaning.
Player/Recruit deletes tweet or clarifies
Message boards light up about over-reacting to tweets

To be clear, these kids talk by twitter now. Literally. Watch them at the mall someday. There will be 6 of them sitting at a table in the food court. Not a single one will be talking. They'll all be typing away. What are they doing? Either texting, tweeting, or posting to Facebook.

Simply writing off something posted on twitter or facebook as inconsequential is the equivalent of ignoring their most direct and powerful form of communication. The problem is that it's also in vogue to post vaguely. It's a dramatic attempt to garner attention. And it's not germane to the kids. My Facebook "friends" do it all the time. It's annoying as hell. If you've got something to say, then say it. Don't give me 1/10th of it and make me follow up. I won't. If you want me to call you, call me instead. The phone works both ways.

...apologies for the tangent...

Point is that tweets and facebook posts absolutely mean something. It's their way of communicating with the world. The problem is that they are mostly a plea for attention. And without following up with them (which we really shouldn't be doing in most instances), we have no idea exactly what they mean.

Where does that leave us? Right back at square one.

Thanks for sticking with my useless post. When does next season start???

I don't think he'd be throwing up the X signs in videos if he didn't like Xavier haha. Just a thought, but yeah, we read way too much into social media these days...
