Kentucky -6.5. Seems like a pretty easy call to take Kentucky.

Go Kansas, then my weekend is complete.
Louisville and the long national nightmare that is Big Least basketball? Gone
Oh-ho-ho State and Beaknose- Outzee
Now if Kansas can deny Slimy Calamari a National Championship, the righteous shall prevail.

Tall order.
Yes, it is. But I hope Kansas can pull it off. Bill Self is the only coach in this Final Four that I even remotely like.

I don't like Calipari, but Bill Self isn't exactly a saint. Self has been associated with the pump brothers and other shady AAU individuals in order to get recruits.

If Kansas wins I win my pool, and I get 280 bones. If UK wins I get nothing.
It sucks because Calipari always gets retracted or redacted after the fact. Does he even have a Final Four yet that has stood the test of time? The guy is a slimeball.
I would never get paid on the Calipari slimeball redaction or retraction. I get paid on who wins on Monday.
I grew up a UK fan, listening to Cawood Ledford on the Big One. Good times too, but those days are over. Kansas is going to bump it up tomorrow for my coin. I actually predicted Lehigh, which would be sweet if It helps me win the whole thing.
If I win, the Lehigh pick becomes legendary, and if I lose if is a footnote that doesn't last a week.
I need Kansas and nobody else. They can win. Kentucky is beatable. Every team sucked tonight anyway.

I may have to root for Kentucky as a safety issue. As long as it's just celebratory riots, fewer people are likely to get hurt (along with less property damage). Anger riots around Lexington may be more dangerous.

Joey Frederick, who joined the revelry in Lexington, said Saturday's win warranted a party on campus. "We are the best team in America," he said. "I think houses should burn."

The way Kansas has been playing I'd take UK and the first half spread - probably giving 3.5?

I convinced my UK loving brother-in-law that Davis was suspended for an undisclosed violation of team rules. His reaction when he realized today's date was pretty priceless. I usually skip the April Fools jokes but couldn't pass up that golden opportunity to make a Wildcat sweat.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!
This weekend is going to plan -
1. UK takes out the last of the Big Least
2. Kansas takes out that annoying school up north, even if we were just patting Thad on the back for taking out that annoying school on the other side of Vine St.
Next - Kansas takes out Calamari and his pro team, and my weekend is complete!
Those UK fans need a REFLECTION SESSION - riotous celebrations, willfull destruction of property, arson, flipping cars. Those people ain't right!

Those fans just ain't right.
Help me to understand - how does having your team win justify such wild behavior.

Nothing could please me more than to see UK fall flat on their face Monday night. Between students celebrating a semi-final win by trying to flip cars and setting things on fire and UK fans congratulating Kansas for being national runner-up after their win over Ohio State, I'd love to see them fail.

it's the program that invented basketball taking on the program that thinks they did.
I'm very uninterested in this game. Typically, the deeper we get into the tournament, the less interested I am. Most of the teams I like are out long before the Final Four. I don't like Kentucky, but I don't dislike them enough to watch the game and actively root against them. So, not only do I not have a team to root for, I don't have one to root against either. This game couldn't be more blah to me. Had Ohio State or Louisville (or both) won, I'd be much more interested.
It's the night of the national championship, and to me it already feels like basketball is over. 195 days until March Madness, though.

Who has a problem with Kansas? Just curious.
I don't recall any real isues with them, other than they are always good- and that they beat us in the NCAA in 1989 when they won the National Championship.
I sure don't have any problems with KU. UK and Calamari? Oh, hell yeah....

Kansas was 1988 - Michigan was 1989 (although both teams went on to national titles).
Maybe he's still mad over the 41-point pasting from the Great Alaska Shootout in 1999.

I hate Kansas because they won't continue to play Missouri.
At the same time, I hate Missouri for leaving, and ending what was, in my opinion, the best college basketball rivalry. Not the biggest and not the most bitter, but it was the best.
A plague on both their houses....

Kansas/Missouri as the best basketball rivalry?!? You and at least a handful of others would pick that one.
...if it's even a handful.
It's all in the eye of the beholder. I know it's not most peoples' choice. Duke v North Carolina is a little too hyped for me. It's been classic, but I'm generally sick of it before the game even starts.
Louisville v Kentucky is extremely bitter, but on paper there isn't quite as much at stake. It's also an ugly game more often than not.
I just thought Kansas v Mizzou was a great rivalry. They've killed it, though. Even if they resume the series some day, it'll be good, but it won't be the same.

"This was a great validation of everything he has done in his career."
Ok it's one thing to ignore or gloss over the vacated final fours but it's a completely different thing to suggest he has been anything but a slimeball his entire career. Talk about blinders, man.
The best team won.
Yup. Second best pro team in New Orleans right now.

By your logic, you've also got to go with KU -1.5 in the second half, then.
Is that all it was? I know hindsight and all, but still, knowing KU's track record in the tourney that was a pretty sure thing.

Did you catch the Coach Cal comments immediately after the game. Somethign about "My players were frustrated becuase I told them to hold back"
Yeah, doesn't want to admit Kansas may have put in good adjustments. The only reason they were able to close the gap from embarassing to acceptable was 'becasue we, out of the goodness of our hearts, let them'
Douche. Even if that was true, still a douche move.

No way the NCAA is vacating a Kentucky national title no matter what comes to light. This isn't UMass or Memphis we're talking about. Even considering it would get people killed. Probably literally.
