URI freshman arrested over posting sex videos online

Twenty-one-year-old URI freshman Jonathan Holton was arrested on campus Tuesday and charged with two counts of "video voyeurism," according to the Providence Journal. Holton videotaped himself with two girls, at two different times, engaging in sexual behavior -- and then put up the escapades on Facebook without permission from the girls.

You think you've seen college athletes be as dumb as possible, and then a player for a seven-win team goes and does this.

"These are disturbing allegations that strike at the core of our commitment to make this a safe and civil campus community," the school said in a statement. "Respect for the rights and privacy of all of our community members is paramount. Campus police and Student Affairs are involved in separate intensive investigations surrounding these allegations."

Where are the links to the actual videos in question!?? Without the tapes, we have no basis upon which to judge the efficacy of the reporting of the incident?

Its hard to tell from his profile on URIs site, but it doesn't even look like he did prep school or redshirted to make him an older freshman in terms of eligibility

IIRC, Lyons was 20 after his first year of actually playing for Xavier. But it was his sophomore academic year at Xavier.

Rhode Island seems to have had more problems going on internally than could be counted. If I were a URI fan I would sure not miss Baron or anyone else from the era of URI basketball that just came to an end.

I believe Derrick Brown was 17 when he enrolled at Xavier. One of the reasons they had him sit out his freshman year.
