I'm not an RPI numbers cruncher...I wonder what a Tenn win would do for X's RPI...if anything at all.
Well, I got 3 kids under the age of 4...so I have no life....this is about as good as it gets for me on a weekend. So, I'll be watching this one in HD tonight on my Pioneer Plasma....who wins guys?
I have been on Tennessee all week. The line opened at Memphis -6.5 to -7. Its down to -5, with about 70% of the public pounding Tennessee. Tenn is the pick of Joe Public...that's kind of scary. I think Memphis is getting a bad rap because of their conference....lest we forget what Memphis did in non conference prior to entering CUSA. And lets be honest...the SEC is pretty down this year. I think Joe Public is thinking CUSA v. SEC....any other year, this makes sense...not so sure about this year. I'm starting to lean towards Memphis....but I want Tenn to win....hmmmmm.
Maybe a teaser is in order...tease Tenn up to +9 and over 152....anyone?

Took the teaser at Tenn +9 and over 152
Also, got silly and took a very, very small 2 team ML parlay...
Tenn +200
Kent State +325
pays like 11/1....not a bad payout for two teams that I certainly think could beat their opponents tonight.

Gotta pick the Vols - anytime we get a #1 vs. #2 game it seems #2 always wins.

"Eye of the Tiger" is a cool song for player intros. That was cool.
Along those same lines, How come we don't use those "X" shaped spot lights during our player intros anymore. I believe it was the UC game that we did that for. I see no reason not to do that for every game.

Memphis 8-15 from the 3 point line and is only up 5...a team that shoots 33% for the year from three point land....Memphis is going to be in trouble when those legs get tired in the 2nd half against the relentless Tenn pressure.
May have to look at a 2nd half Tenn wager in this one.

Wow! That was an entertaining half of bb. The 1st four minutes was out of control fast. Memphis is a darn good team. This is not last year's Memphis team. I would say Memphis controlled the 1st half a bit more, but they were not getting the ball inside. Memphis is relying too much on the three. UT was getting the ball inside. If UT just gets a bit more disciplined on the offense they will do okay. I was surprised with Memphis' defense. Not too bad. Early on they were manning up all the way to half court.

Woot, Tenn is on Fire. They might win this if they keep up that fast break pressure. Same thing they did to us.

I need some free basketball or my over is screwed on the tease. I hope Tenn can pull this out so I can root like hell for Kent State tonight at 11/1!
Memphis by 3, but Roberts is hobbled.
Go VOLS!

Tenn should be fouling....Memphis can't hit a freebie to save their lives...why give them layups and 2nd and 3rd chances when down 1 and its doubtful they would hit 2 free throws!
UT up one!

Damn! Just realized I'm about 5 mins behind because I paused the game while I took a leak. Oh well, wonder if this helps XU's RPI any.
LETS GO KENT STATE!
If Kent beats St. Mary's that would also give XU an RPI boost....at least I would think it would.

8-17 from the charity stripe for Memphis. That won't get it done in the Tourney.

Yeah use to be #1 team had the worst FT%. And that #2 from memphis is a punk, Prince should of jacked him lol.

I'm just glad to see that Prince killed the #1 team in the country in their own house like he did to X. OK, he didn't have as big a game as he did against X...but Tyler Smith and Prince killed X....they also killed Memphis tonight in their house.
I'm really starting to believe that if X plays well, they are truly among the elite in college basketball this year.

I thought the game itself was poorly played. It was like watching an AAU game from an offensive standpoint. One on one. Bad shots. Forced shots.

Man I fell asleep before the game was over. Way to go Tennessee! It is being re-run on ESPN Classic right now. I can watch what I missed.

Memphis fell in love w/ the outside shot. I can't blame them though. I don't think they missed a three for the first ten minutes of the game. From that point on they believed they couldn't miss, and inevitably cooled down. However, they kept looking for those shots that were falling earlier.

Yes it was not a clean game but intensely played. Very much a tournament like atmosphere. I respect the effort the UT players put out.

I agree, 100% different game than when UT played X...however, I think this point showed a lot about UT, namely, they can play anybody's style, and still win.

That was a great college basketball game, as well as Drake-Butler yesterday.

Derrick Rose was the best player for Memphis yesterday. Not sure if that's a good or bad sign for Memphis though.
