Better than cactus pear

Cactus pear had too many responses, and I was at first hesitant to share my favorite Mexican joint.

But La Mexicana on Monmouth in Newport is the best hands down

I have never seen another gringo in there, they have probably 20 different tacos (real style with Cilantro and Lime on a Corn tortilla) you can even get goat or brains.

Cheap beer, real Mexican coca-cola, fresh guacamole and I can't get enough of it.

They have other things on the menu but I have only gotten the tacos.

It is about as authentic as you can get. Five thumbs up

The best tacos I've ever had were in Tijuana. I got them from a roadside stand on the walk from downtown back to the border. Unfortunately, I was sick for the next month and half w/ something living in my stomach. I'm fairly certain it was those tacos that did me in. They were amazing though.
