As far as punks, I've only noticed it recently. Crawford was one, and clearly Lyons and Holloway of course. Think some of that stems from your coach. Just go back and look at how he handled the whole brawl fiasco. I had mad respect for guys like Larkin, Hill, Strong, Williams, Grant, Posey, Brown, Cage, Doellman. Those guys were warriors. They just played, let their game do the talking. Didn't run their mouth. I cant ever remember UD having punks like you have had the last few years. It would be hard for me to root for that crap.

Regarding Miller last night, yup he blew it. We had our foot on your neck and he let it up by running the clock down. He acknowledged that in his postgame comments. I think he will learn from it.

ud hasn't had a guard as talented as Lyons since Negele Knight graduated 20 years ago. It is easy for you to say you wouldn't root for a guy like that, you are likely too young to remember dayton having any one on their team as good as Lyons to root for.

The epic suck of dayton continues to grow deeper. Even with the younger brother of one of our former great coaches will not be enough for you to escape the suck.

Yes you can tell he's got a chip on his shoulder and hes got attitude on the court but since the fight he's left it on the court. I've seen him help other players up, try and calm down heated situations - he has really changed his attitude since the incident.

I understand what ATF said elsewhere about relocating the game, but in my view it's absolutely moronic for UD to just give up a home game and keep their fans away when they could play at Wright State. And if the relationship with WSU is that poisoned, play at US Bank or Bank of Kentucky. It's at least an easy drive.

This team will dominate and Dilliard will be one of the best point guards in the country.
Dayton is getting a bruiser down low and Benson will return.
The head coach is not named Brian and Archie has a year under his belt. The only question left is what seed will we get ?

UD has been crushing Xavier on the recruiting trail for years, and it is going to finally pay off this year. I don't see a single position on the court XU is better than UD.

It's not a question of whether dayton is going to win the national championship next year, but rather a question of by how much. All I can say is that this year's Kentucky team is lucky that next year's dayton team isn't in the Final Four this weekend. Cal may actually finally win one now. Next year's dayton squad should be the start of a Wooden-like run for Archie Miller, based on everything I can measure. Just as long as they stay relatively flu-free, of course.

You HAVE to understand why absolutely no one will believe this, don't you? While it is understandable for someone beyond the average college basketball fan to predict Xavier will not have a good season next year, the track record speaks for itself.

I can't tell you how many times I have heard "Xavier is in for a rebuilding season", yet we are one of just 4 teams in all of college basketball to reach the sweet 16 in 3 out of the past 4 seasons. We make the NCAA's every year, some how...some way.

It is what we do. You may think UD will be "scary good next year", but there is nothing to support this statement. Each and every time a ud fan has uttered this type comment, it has blown up in their face.

If there is one thing I am sure of in this life it is that Xavier will continue to be Xavier and dayton will continue to be dayton. In other words Xavier will continue to compete for conference championships, make deep runs in the tourney, and do it the right way....while dayton will continue to suck, host NCAA tourney games, and wonder what in the fu** they are doing wrong.
