And another replay of the Boeheim "holier than thou" soundbites to come over the next two weeks.

UCONN and now Syracuse.
Can't say that I am surprised.
UCONN gets slapped with creating an atmosphere of non compliance by the NCAA and now Syracuse and holier than thou Boehiem is pretty much taking the same stance.
There are few coaches in sports I dislike more than Jim Boeheim (and Calhoun for that matter.) The amount of arrogance and douchiness that routinely comes from those two is astonishing.

Despite the debate about whether smoking reefer is ethical or not, rules are rules.
Suck it Syracuse.
If you ever lived in NY State you know how about a million douchey Orange fans who never set foot near Syracuse. They are the Notre Dame of NY

How surprising. The story is on yahoo sports not BESPN.
All of a sudden Pat Forde breaks a story like this- now that he is no longer with the four letter network.
Amazing, huh?

I agree 100%. The smugness that those guys exude is sickening.

Dickie V will dismiss this and then talk about what a great guy Boeheim is on Mike and Mike at some point this week. I will put money on it.

What's crazy is that, essentially, there is no NCAA drug policy other than that a school must have a drug policy. There are no specfiic parameters or guidelines. Again, the charge is not following their INTERNAL drug policy.
Since it wasn't performance enhancing drugs, the school isn't likely in any real trouble. They'll be reprimanded, which means someone will write them a letter.

Do you have any idea how many sportscasters are Syracuse grads? Rug. Check. Broom. Check. Sweeping under to commence in 3... 2... 1...

I'm not trying to sweep it under the rug, because I really don't like Syracuse, but ten positive drug tests since 2001 hardly seems excessive. If the drugs they tested positive for were on the banned substance list, but not classified as performance enhancing drugs, the NCAA generally steps back and lets the school handle it anyway. As I understand it, they're in trouble for not adhereing to their own stated drug policy. In all likelihood, all that will happen is that they'll receive a letter of reprimand.

I did like Boeheim's stellar defense: "I didn't know."
Good one coach. Way to be accountable.
EDIT: Check that. He didn't say, "I didn't know." He said, "I don't know anything about that." Sorry to misrepresent!

Yeah, probably not the best thing to say.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how this is earth shattering news. I showed up to class high a few times in my life.
Most of the time I was just drunk.
