The first few shows of Community were absolutely horrible. I was about ready to give up on it when it really came together. The characters are perfect. It reminds me of the couple of years that "Moonlighting" was a really good show. (Is that show on in reruns anywhere? I haven't seen it in 20 years. I'd like to see how it holds up).

My "must see" :

Community, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family.

I'm a little concerned about BBT's future. There's only so much you can do with that premise, and Kaley Cuoco is already slightly less hot than she was a few years ago, but it's still top 3 for me right now.

I love both Community and BBT. I'd imagine there's some crossover.

I know most people use DVR's, but I wonder if part of the reason Community receives somewhat subpar ratings is being opposite to the quite strong BBT (also, some people don't like to DVR 2 things at once).

Anyways, I"m thrilled Community is back.

I like both, I enjoy Community a lot more though. I still like BBT but I think it was a lot better the first couple of seasons before the addition of Blossom and when Howard Walowitz was single.

I was sort of watching last week's Community last night, and doing a little work. After a few minutes, I realized I was totally lost, so I saved it for another time. I do have a feeling that I'm not going to love it though.

I think the level of understanding of last weeks episode comes from how well the person knows Ken Burns documentary style.

He might think that. But Charlie Sheen was actually important to his show. Critics debated if the show could survive without him.

Community would not skip a beat without Chase. He plays the 6th most important character on the show (which, of course, might be his issue with the show....no one cares about Pierce).

It is a bit ironic. I stuck with Community through the first few episodes because I wanted Chevy to be awesome. Caddyshack and Fletch are both in my top 5 movies ever.

Chevy sucks. On top of that, he has totally bloated up since last season in a way that makes him difficult to watch. If they do write his character out, which I hope they do, I hope they do it quietly.

I'm sort of fascinated with the impact DVR's have had on my knowledge of what night any show is on. I watch every episode of Community and have no idea what night it is on now.

This. Although, being that I was working at a TV station less than two years ago (radio now), I actually have some idea about when shows are on. And I know that the move to Fridays is a bad sign for the future of Community. It's a shame because it really is a terrific show. Great cast, outstanding writing, etc. I wonder if it's just a bit too quirky for a lot of people. By "a lot of people" I really mean "stupid people that don't get the jokes."

I still am not taking the news that Dan Harmon isn't coming back well. At this point I wish they would have just cancelled the show instead of what is currently happening with it.

I'm a big fan of the video game/ RPG animation spoof I guess, because the South Park where they get hooked on Warcraft and the Simpsons where Marge gets hooked on an Warcraft like game are a couple of my favorite shows. Video games provide some great spoofortunities.
