Xavier is also currently recruiting Jakarr Sampson who also plays for Brewster. They are Playing against Tilton and the #2 ranked player in the country Nerlens Noel who is a 6'10" center being recruited by everyone.

Brewter Academy is on ESPN right now with Semaj Christon and Jalen Reynold starting for Brewster.
Let's see 'em!

What # is Reynolds?

Not really fair for Reynolds to have to play Noel.

Semaj is #1. Jalen is #4

He's done better than McGarry has.
McGarry looks overrated to me.

Semaj looks very solid at the point. Very comfortable controlling the game. Some sweet passes, too.
Too bad Jakar Sampson's not coming with the other two.

Don't count that one out. He needs to work on his jumper though. Pretty ugly.

Amazing how ESPN commmentators twist things to suit their own devices.
McGary did absolutely nothing in the first half, but they say that it was his "energy" on defense that brought Brewster back. All I saw was him getting posterized and beaten down the floor by Noel.

Xavier/UC fight reference by the announcers.

Real nice. Can't even get through a high school game without sideways bringing up the UC game.
Good to see Semaj get the better of that exchange.

Semaj has been tremendous. Yes, his defensive intensity is in his opponents head leading to a loss of composure. Robert Lowery style.

Semaj hasn't left the floor.
Would like to see a little scoring out of him, but he's setting up his teammates well. College guys will catch those passes.

McGary got abused by a junior center.
Aaron Thomas made Florida State very happy.
I was happy with Semaj.
Jalen got spotty minutes but had a nice assist.
Noel will be a real catch for somebody.
Meanwhile, YTG will keep dreaming about getting players like that.

Saw a recruiting tweet today that listed Sampson's top choices and X wasn't among them.

Myles Davis had 27 points on 14-15 FTs. His team won 55-49 and he had 22 of his 27 in the 2nd half

You think that is impressive, you should hear him play jazz.

Really like the looks of Christon. The kid is excellent distributor of the basketball. The talent level on that court was sick. Reynolds will be a great player but is raw. Look for him to really come in to his own by his sophomore year. Don't understand why we didn't recruit Thomas harder but from what I've heard we'll be very happy with Myles Davis. I can see a lot of Semaj to Davis for 3 over the next few years.

Lot's of talent on the floor for Brewster yesterday.
Really didn't get to see Reynolds much at all.
Christon handles the ball well and is an excellent distributor. Needs to work on his shot.
I love the fact that these guys are practicing with some high level D 1 players.
Both will be ready to go next year and should get lots of minutes.

I believe absolutely nothing about recruits until they start to play at X. For every one player who ends up as advertised, another 10 aren't anything like we've been led to believe.

But it's also great when you do get that one recruit who is insanely hyped and can then match it on the court.
