Poor Karl Hobbs - apparently La-Lafayette found a way to mind-fuck the officials in the endgame and win while "pulling the goalie" in the final 10 seconds of this game. Neither the WKU coaches nor the officials spotted the error until the buzzer sounded, meaning that the final score stood as 72-70 ULL.

The NCAA is really going to have to review at what point errors can be corrected and can't be corrected after the buzzer sounds - who's to say that a coach may gamble with, let's say, 0.6 seconds on the clock and decide to throw an extra player onto the floor for either side?

Oh, and WKU head coach Ken McDonald was also fired. Even though the Toppers have had a down season, that is also piss-poor timing.

What's funny is it didn't really matter, they could have had 12 players on the court since the PG just dribbled around for 15 seconds before shooting. There wasn't a single pass and the extra guy (or uncovered guy) was just hanging out on the perimeter.

He didn't want to draw attention to himself; it makes me think it was a blatant 6-on-5 (similar to a 15-yard Illegal Participation penalty in fb where you willfully play with 12+ men on the field).

Macdonald's name was mentioned for the X job after Miller left. WKU was coming off an NCAA appearance in his first year as head coach. He was considered a stud recruiter while an assistant at Texas. It became apparent that he can't coach worth a darn at WKU once Darrin Horn's players graduated.

Also, whats the point of a school like WKU firing a coach mid season? Considering the fact that WKU has 7 freshman on the roster , I think they could have at least waited til seasons end.
