And Vandy gets the big win.
I'm sure that all Marquette fans now want to fire Buzz Peterson.

And Oklahoma choked big time vs UC. So a good RPI night for us.

Now I have to hear.....UC has won 4 or 5 straight after the brawl. How in the heck did Oklahoma blow that? Pathetic.

Amazingly Lon Kruger found a way to be out coached by Mick Cronin. It was if OU forgot how to play basketball during the last 5 minutes (especially the last 8.8 seconds). Pathetic indeed.

Watching UC come back reminded me of our comeback wins against Vandy and Purdue. We played very hard in the course of coming back to win those games, as did UC tonight. I hope we can find that intensity on Saturday. If so, we will beat Gonzaga.

The difference is that Xavier had to actually make shots and Purdue actually hit shots themselves. UC was 7-30 from 3, shot 27% for the game from the floor and was outrebounded yet won the game. How is that possible? Oh and Oklahoma had a distinct height advanatage yet never thew the ball into the big guys the last 5 minutes yet managed to throw up 8 3's in the last 5 minutes. That is some of the worst coaching I have seen in my 39 years on this planet. But good for our RPI I guess. I can see how SLU beat Oklahoma by 20.

Wait til UC has to go on the road against good teams. It was a pathetic crowd again last night though. They announced about 4,300 attendance, but, from watching on TV I don't believe it. Strange that the ESPN cameras kept showing views of the empty seats instead of the crowd if it was there.

What I got out of Vandy-Marquette is that they need to rethink that Flagrant-1 and Flagrant-2 stuff. Ezeli got an F-1 on something that was created by the Marquette player. We are going to see a lot of dives where there is minor contact around the head. With the reward being 2 shots and the ball, expect to see a lot of acting.

This. Yeah, I'll give UC some credit for making the comeback, but Kruger's coaching the last 5 minutes was horrendous. UC was basically playing 5 guards and oklahoma kept on shooting 3's instead of going inside. It takes a special talent to be outcoached by Cronin.

Yes, it really was so much what UC did but rather what OK did and didn't do. Kept jacking up 3's, couldn't dribble all of the sudden (Coach call TO to save a key possession) and their defense was TERRIBLE last 5 minutes of the game. The winning layup by Cashmere was met a defender actually getting out of the way of the basket for Wright and so he had a wide open path for an easy layup. There was no help defense either. Absolutely, pathetic. Ok pissed down their leg and crapped their pants.

Did they pass out and have a seizure after that?

pretty much.
I couldn't believe how OK owned UC for about 36 minutes of the game and then pissed it away so easily.
