It looks as though Butler is on their normal pace for making the championship game. This year they'll do it as a #13 seed.

I will say this Brad Stevens can freaking coach. He has no talent and is extremely young this year but he will have them in it late in the season. They had no business beating Stanford last night and yet they did. Oh and it helped that Ronald Nored, who is a terrible shooter, hit every shot he threw up last night.

If Butler makes the Sweet Sixteen this year I'm writing in Brad Stevens for President.

I said the same thing last year......all the way up until the end of the conference tournament.
They were 14-9 last year with really nothing in the way of quality wins. When they got the #8 seed I remember thinking it was entirely too high.
Two years ago, they started in the top fifteen and pretty much stayed there the entire year. It wasn't really a surprise. Last year, they were out of the rankings by the end of November and I don't even thinkt hey received any votes from that point until the start of the NCAA Tournament. After last year, I decided you should NEVER write them off.

The good news is Xavier beat up on Butler on the road and Butler beat Gonzaga by 16 pts. Good sign for NYE.

Butler will end up being a good win for us. They always make a big push and go on a big time win streak before march.

And the transitive property does not work in sports
Team A beat Team B and Team B beet Team C does not mean Team A will beat Team C.

So true. But it does seem to work in the world of RPI.
