Hawkes not playing today. Rumor has it a death in the family. She's not here at all..

This game has taught me one thing: we have one ball handler and that is Hawkes... Moss is having to run the point afterAshley struggled in the beginning.

Ashley has never been a point guard. I don't remember her playing one game at the point in high school.

I believe you are correct. I don't think it's her fault, just there was nobody else.

Awesome win, way to go ladies!

In postgame, Coach said that Hawkes was with her family. Wish her and her loved ones the very best.

17 turnovers is a lot, but considering that 8 came from the guard tandem of Mossy and Wanninger, and they took over and shared the point duties. Shot 54%,,, that's awesome!

The press really bothered them, but they managed to win despite it.

I never really felt like they got comfortable with the press, but it seemed like they did just barely what they needed to pull out the game. Hopefully they can learn some lessons from the press here that will help the down the line.

sad to see that readers of the Enquirer, at least the online version, will find absolutely no coverage of the game. Not a blog line, not an article, not a picture. Sad, very very sad.

Was there something else last night that demanded coverage?
No XU Mens, no UC game, no pro games going on. No excuse, they just don't care.

Lots of high school games. There's a lot more interest in high school basketball than girls college sports in Cincinnati. The media covers what the people are interested in. The girls attendance reflects a lack of interest in the Xavier community too.

They did allude to that during the audio broadcast - thoughts and prayers go out to Hawkes and her family.
