A10 went 1-3 yesterday with Richmond losing to Illinois. The Spiders fought back after trailing by 18 at the half, but could only get it down to 5 or 6 points.

Today Richmond plays Rutgers in the consulation game in Cancun. 7:00 est, and I'm guessing it will be on CBS College Sports channel.

St. Joe's is @ Iona.

GW plays @ Bowling Green in finale of the CBE round robin.

With 2 true road games and 1 neutral, I'm just hoping to avoid an O-fer.

I think 2-1 is reasonable here. Richmond and St. Joes are good bets to win, and GW at least has a shot.

Sagarin would have St. Joe's as about a 7 point dog to Iona. Not a lot games to go on at this point, but I'd very pleasantly surprised if they could win at Iona.

I see Iona -10 (that's surprising to me; SJU has been playing pretty well this year), Richmond -1.5 and BGSU -2.5.

Charlotte has now lost back to back to Lamar on the road, why they played at Lamar is behind me, and then at home last night to East Tennessee St. Not off to a good start.

I don't know. Iona is very solid. They've got really quick guards and play hard. I could see them winning a game in the tournament this year. I know Maryland is depleted and rebuilding right now, but Iona absolutely smoked them the other day. I don't really know what to expect of Richmond/Rutgers.

Iona's PG Machado has been labeled the best PG in America by some analysts.

Lamar is certainly a solid basketball program. I wouldn't want to play them at Lamar. I guess Charlotte is regretting that scheduling booboo. The Lamar arena is about the same size as Cintas, and Pat Knight is now their coach. ETSU goes to the NCAA tourney quite a bit. They seem to average about 20 wins per year under former UAB coach Murry Bartow. They are also not great, but dangerous.

I guess Charlotte assumed with Pat Knight at the helm it was a gimme win.

Any other coaching legend's kids Charlotte can schedule after already losing to Bob Knight and Gene Bartow's professional failure offspring? I think Joey Meyer is the NBDL now. Scott Willard is at Seton Hall. Richard Pitino will have a gig next year. Mark (?) Prosser has to be close to getting a head coaching job. They need to get Georgetown and JTIII on the schedule. Valpo and Baylor with Bryce and Scott Drew, respectively. Maybe swing out to Pullman and play Tony Bennett and Wazzu. A trip to Tulsa to face Scott Sutton and ORU is a must. They could make a whole tour of it.

St. Joes leads at the half 45-43, but this scoring pace is right in Iona's wheelhouse, don't know about the Hawks. Galloway and Jones are certainly capable, but traditionally Martelli likes a more deliberate offense.

Butler down 17 to Gardner Webb in the 2nd half at home......if we lose to Butler this year that might be a BAD loss.

Agreed. I guess Norad is all they have this year.

I thought the Richmond/Rutgers game might not ever end. Finally, Richmond seals the W.

GW with a big lead @ Bowling Green. I think the A10 is gonna be tough.

St. Joe's in OT at Iona after leading all of regulation.

2-1 on the night, not bad.

The Hawks now have a long homestand I believe. Hopefully they can pile up some wins.

St. Joes has some really good guards in Carl Jones and Langston Galloway. CJ Aiken throws a block party every game as well. They will be a challenger this year. Exciting team to watch.
