Ugly so far, luckily both ways. We're down 18-10 with 5:00 left in the first half.

Louisville didn't have Schoni Schimmel its first two games, but so far this season has played nothing like a top-10 team.

31-12 Louisville at halftime. We're shooting 17 percent (including 1-of-14 from three-point range) and have 11 turnovers. Amber Gray leading the way with 4 points.

Wow! These girls are really going to have to dig deep this year... Quite disappointing. Unacceptable, really...

Gametracker froze just into the second half, so I don't know much other than ESPN shows the final score as 62-44 Louisville.

I'm afraid this might be a rebuilding year. I'm not sure though, as both Louisville and Stanford are ranked teams. The womens schedule is no joke either.

Welcome back to another season. I listened to the web cast of the game and it sounded like Xavier was outgunned from the start.

I agree the non conference is quite tough, but no one really planned for the team to be playing without Katie Rutan and really with a rotation of eight players that didn't see much action last season. The recruit from Seattle bailed as did Taj Wilson.

Any extra hands on deck would be appreciated, hopefully Crouch can make some contribution later this season.

We're only three games in and I'm sure the team will make progress. Right now, things are looking a little bleak as Hawkes climbs the NCAA learning curve the players get used to each other and being in games for extended minutes.

Conditioning will be ultra important. I think the staff is smart enough not to burn the available players out while pushing them to improve.

It's a tough situation for Coach Waugh.

Hopefully they're ready to go for the conference schedule. I hope they surprise with a couple of wins we think they shouldn't get.

Reality has somewhat set in for me.

Not just ranked teams, but Top 10 teams to boot. There's no shame in losing to either team, although you would have to hope from a confidence standpoint that they get off to a better start against Stanford than they did a)last year at Stanford and b)against the Cards.

Oklahoma is another team that could be Top 10 caliber when that matchup takes place in December.

The schedule is brutal for a new team, although there are some breathers coming up as well.

The thing about the women's game is that height makes a big difference. The best teams always have height which is obviously something you cannot teach. We've been spoiled by amber and Ta'Shia because when all else fails you throw it down low and have a good shot of getting a basket because of pure height. Not saying that weren't talented because clearly they are. This year you get the feeling they cannot even compete with the likes of Stanford, UConn, Baylor, etc... Because there would be no way to stop their bigs...

I am hoping that I'm wrong but I just have a feeling it will be a long year... Our sample size is very small but Miss St just got demolished by Texas A & M which is not a good sign...

I'm hoping for the best... I truly hope I'm wrong. Nonetheless, it'll be fun to watch them develop this year.

Excuse all the possible typos. I'm on my phone and I beer really pay attention to that stuff!
