ND was playing w/o their best player so Detroit definitely blew it. ND isn't very good.

Detroit couldn't make anything from the field. That plus significant foul trouble killed them. I wouldn't be surprised to Detroit compete for the conference this year.

Titans were picked to win by several pundits but they are still very young. McCollum--the player not the coach--was McD AA but does not have much help. Would not want to face them in March.

That's a disappointing loss for Detroit.

Detroit was also without one of their best players.

Don't want to start a new thread about it, but I saw Holy Cross got nipped by Valpo last night, 88-38. Amazing the depths to which that program has fallen.

Once Ralph Willard left, Holy Cross ceased being competitive in the Patriot League.

The story of this game was indeed Detroit's inability to keep ND off the free throw line. Detroit committed 26 fouls in the game compared to ND's 12. you can't continue to get in foul trouble like that and expect to win the game.
