Zags and Washington State on the four letter network. I'll be doing a bit of scouting tonight.

Also, is it just me or are all student sections now using the "We Are _______" chant. I heard Notre Dame's student section, Gonzaga's, and a few others use it recently. It's really annoying.

First report: They shoot threes good. Threes into basket against us bad. I hate Gonzaga. Students are douchey.

Stay tuned for more.

This is ridiculous. They can't keep this up...can they?

They are currently 9-15 from deep. Stupid.

I'm a fan of the pack line defense except when playing good three point shooting teams.

The Belmont at Memphis clash is actually a game I am interested in.

What's the point of saying that Belmont is participating in the Maui Invitational when those games are being played at Duke and Memphis? They've also got a couple of other "Maui" games that are being played at Middle Tennessee State (against Towson and either MTSU or UNC-Greensboro).

I can see the argument that teams like Cleveland State and Belmont are trying to build their own profiles, but just don't tell me that they're playing in a tournament without a tangible reward.

At least the Preseason NIT gives the little guys a chance to advance to Madison Square Garden.

One of the WVU mascots apparently starts for the Mountaineers - no wonder Xavier and even NKU beat this team.

It's a technical loophole that allows promoters to cover their asses, and teams to get an extra game. It's stupid. I hate it. Akron beat Mississippi State. That's who should be going to the semifinals. Essentially, it allows teams to schedule multiple games and only have them count as exempt games, but don't sit there and call it a tournament when the semifinals are already predetermined. That's a bunch of crap.

This all spurred from Gardner Webb's win over Kentucky. Well, was that such a bad thing?? I think a lot of people liked seeing Gardner Webb win the game and advance. It was a true taste of a March upset in November. Nevertheless, the promoters, and the Gazelle Group in particluar, decided to "fix" the problem.

All I gotta say is....GREAT ONE!!

I get it when promoters don't want to see Gardner-Webb and Southern Illinois in Madison Square Garden in the early months. I also get that no tournament can afford to have only middle-of-the-road and lower-tier teams and expect to get the networks to televise their games.

Otherwise, you just may as well call it what it really is - a sneak preview of BracketBusters where they do get to play the big boys on the road on national TV.

Kent is now leading 62-51 with about 5 minutes to go; they've been in control much of the 2nd half.

Akron, Cleveburg State and now Kent. Northern Ohio is looking tough early on in the season.
