Nice win by the lady Muskies today! Moss didn't shoot very well but made them when the counted. 22 points and 12 rebounds is not too shabby at all. I'm a little surprised it was so close but EKU returned 3 of their top scorers from last year and had a slew of JUCO transfers so I think they'll actually be decent in their league this year...

Whoever mentioned Xavier having offensive woes was proved right again today... I think that will be the big challenge for Amy and the staff this year. Overall, im super happy they got their first win under their belt. I'm just hoping they can beat Miss St Monday because at Louisville and home against Stanford are going to be rough. Maybe not impossible but rough...

Anyone else have any thoughts on the game????

I was at the game. Had a great time listening to the EKU's head coache's family behind me. They were hilarious. Saw Dez, Tu, and Dee there. I think Philmore was there as well.

Anyways, the rebounding was very good. Gray is a beast. I think Stratman is better than what she showed tonight.

Holmes could be a star in the making. Very smooth with the ball.

Moss will make some of those wide open threes in time. She's fine.

I think this team lacks leadership, and will lose some close games because of it.

Sad to say I missed the game today but was helping out a friend. Thanks for the recap. Hoping to get to the next one and cheer the ladies on.

No real surprise there - Harris and Phillips were without a doubt the leaders for the past 2-3 years. The gals will have no shortage of tests going into conference play, including Stanford in a couple of weeks.
