New head coach, two new assistants, new director of ops and some familiar faces getting many, many more minutes. What's everyone think of the prospects this season? I think a conference title is definitely possible, but Dayton is going to be a HUGE hurdle.

Temple too. Both teams got the same number of first place votes in the pre-season poll and both teams have players on the 1st and 2nd All-Conference teams.

I was cautiously optimistic by what I saw against UIndy, but the team is going to have to play excellent defense to be successful as I see offensive problems this year. I see us having big problems against teams with big guards or skilled posts. However, I really don't see any reason that we can't finish at least 3rd in the standings. After Dayton and Temple, I think you could flip a coin to see who the next best team is. Everyone is jumping on the Duquesne bandwagon, but I can't help but think they won't be as good this year (because teams always seem to have that sophomore slump). Charlotte will be good, but certainly aren't unbeatable.

It should be an exciting year, and I'm eager for the Amy Waugh era to get underway.

You can tell from just the one exhibition that this will be a drastically different team. not talking about personnel, that's obvious, but this will be a team that tries to emulate the style of ball played by Waugh during her 4 years at XU. this will be a team that goes non stop, don't expect offensive sets that risk shot clock violations. I see slashing at the basket and alot of ball movement. certainly every position has questions but this set of Musketeers is better than alot of people fear. Lost of talent in the starting 5 and on the bench, they need to believe in themselves!

If the shooting comes around this will be a succesful group.,
