The AZ student section is doing the idiotic "bounce, bounce, pass..." chant that Miller was trying X students to do his last year with us.

That is required to get student tickets there. All prospective student fans need to pass a fan aptitude test conducted by Miller.
I admit my HDTV may be tuned to ESPN2. Purely to scout Dusquene, of course. :)

This has been an ugly game so far. Also, Miller still coughs a lot during games.

Arizona is not a top 25 team I don't think. Too young at guard.

Please tell me you made that up...
If you're serious: I'm glad I didn't go to school there (even if they have a glut of attractive women). I'm no genius, but I don't need to be tested on my ability to learn a basketball cheer. I know Coach is probably just trying to develop an active student section, but please try to find a way to do it without insulting your fan base's intelligence.

The McHale Center is a great home court. Really all you need to do is not screw it up.
Duquesne leads at the half.

Crossover!
Nice bucket to end the half.

Dukes didn't make a shot the entire half until the end and are still winning. Monterio also has played 3 minutes and is their leading scorer from last season. Zona needs to get it together or the Dukes are going to get a Big roadkill.

I wonder if Miller is challenging his players by telling them they are getting beat by a Ford Focus.

Go Dukes. Up by 2 at the half.
BandAid - I am seriously worried that my Miller fan test post was plausible enough you had to ask.

He did have meetings with the students at X, and I know he had similar meetings at Zona. So it wasn't completely beyond the realm of feasibility.

Az with big height advantage but not using it much. McConnell only a soph. He's good.

Arizona just killing them on the boards though. Unless Duquesne gets at least semi hot from 3, it'll be the difference in the game.

I bet Nuts is rooting for Miller.
So does this put the whole "Ron Everhart is a better coach than Sean Miller" theory to rest or are we still rolling with that?

Freaking Dook-cane is back to being, well, Dook-cane.
Arizona flat sucks and the Dooks had an incredible chance for an early statement. Of course, being the Dooks, they F-ed it up.
Way to once again give no help to the League. This is exactly why I hate these pikers and poseurs.

Yeah, like the other poster said, they basically pulled a Duquesne. Kind of like their season last year, in a microcosm.
But I'll complain more about Duquesne after we get F-m and Lossalle out of the league.

I don't know if I'd say Duquesne played well it was more like Arizona played terrible or is just terrible.

I don't think many accurately depict their season last year (at least the conference side of the schedule). The back half of their conference schedule was much tougher than the front half, so it really wasn't a surprise when they started losing games. Not really falling flat on their faces as much as facing better opponents.
