Modern Warfare 3 comes out tomorrow. Who all plans on getting it?

This will be my first COD I am not picking up in a while. I am on the Battlefield Bandwagon. I just find it so much more entertaining. It's a lot harder to master, but so much more to it. Huge maps, vehicles in multiplayer, destructable environments, just fantastic.

Just bought Battlefield (really, simply traded in some games, so the store owed me $6) and am committed to dominating that before picking up MW3. Loving B3 at the moment. It's way more intense and there's a lot of mission styled multiplayer games that can keep me entertained in a while.

You'll fail quickly if you just go solo in those games. You need to squad up and really work together to win that sucker. It's baller.

Oh, and BBC plays those games like a scared 12 year old girl (no offense ladies).

I will indeed be picking up MW3 as I have yet to pick up BF3. I know I shouldn't get both (because I have actual things to do) but I should get them both so I can finally compare my CoD experience with Battlefield. This will be my first Battlefield game purchased, but damn it looks fun.

Shoot, by the time you've gotten your fill of BF3, there will be another Call of Duty out. They put those things out at about a one-a-year clip anymore.

This will be an Infinity Ward game without the people who made it what it is. I'm sure it will be good, but nowhere near up to the caliber of former MW games.

Haha, that's my dilemma :D

I've already pre-ordered it from Amazon and it should be on my doorstep when I get home from work tomorrow.

I haven't played BF3 yet, and I struggle with the idea of buying it. Having a 1 year old kid really puts the kibosh on playing the way I used to and there are simply too many good games coming out. I know I'll like MW3 and will get tons of play with it, but I'm not sure about Battlefield and don't even know when I will be able to get to it.

Right now, I'm still playing Arkham City every chance I get. With MW3, Assassin's Creed, Bioshock Infinite and Skyrim all coming out within the next few months, there are already way too many games on my list than I have time to play.

I'm in the unfortunate position of having to wait until Christmas to get MW:3. My mother-in-law always gets it for me as an X-mas present and I'm basically ordered not to purchase it or play it because she doesn't know what else to get me.

I keep hearing great things about Battlefield and might jump on board, but I echo Jumpy's sentiments in that there are a bunch of great games coming out that I'm absolutely going to buy and therefore don't know if I'll have time to delve into Battlefield as well. However, once I'm up and running on MW:3 and Assassin's Creed I will happily play alongside or against any of you fine gents.

Don't play, but loved hearing Shoot To Thrill in the commercial last night.

That was a very nicely done commercial. Unfortunately for me the MW series has always made me motion sick. I'm not entirely certain why as other FPS games don't.

I get ill playing MW because when I fire a rocket-propelled grenade into a wall, a giant hole doesnt get blown into it and the guy behind said wall is totally fine! Whereas in Battlefield 3, you will blow that m.f.'er away! Woo!

I've played through the single player with Battlefield. I'm not much of an online player mostly because I don't have the time. I will be renting MW3 when I get off of work tomorrow and playing through it's single player and will probably purchase both of them at some point.

I do however have Assassin's Creed: Revelations pre-ordered and have asked for Skyrim for X-mas. I feel like Skyrim will consume my life combined with X basketball I won't want to ever leave my basement.

I'm trying to decide between the two. I love the Call of Duty series, but havent played any Battlefield since Battlefield 1942, so Im gonna wait for some comparison reviews from people that have played both later this week.

I have Skyrim pre-ordered and can't wait to pick it up. I've been playing Oblivion a ton lately to get in the spirit. Friday is set to be a glorious day with the release of Skyrim and the launch of a new basketball season.

Battlefield3's campaign is weak. Super linear, at times doesn't even feel like you're playing a game but just sorta watching a cheesy movie. Past COD campaigns I've played were a little better but sorta feel the same way.

But the multiplayer is SO much better than Call of Duty's. There's just more to it. But if you're a bigger fan of the campaign and more of a straight up arcade-style multiplayer, then go with COD. But if you like a crazy awesome multiplayer then go with BF3.

Oh man. That multiplayer's so good. I wish I was playin' it right now. Lousy work...

But whats important are the USER reviews. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

Save your money. Users are giving it a 2.8 rating. very disappointing. of the 534 ratings 389 are negative.

Yikes. Those are some bad reviews. I know video game people can be ridiculous online and I'd think that a lot of those people are Battlefield fans "trolling", but still...

Let's all buy four copies of Battlefield!

I've got Battlefield, love it. Im not much of an online player kind.of guy, because I absolutely suck, but with B3 it's just a freaking blast. If you suck, get on the 50 on a tank while someone else drives it, or be a medical and heal people.

The destruction level is awesome, like thinking you are under cover but then you die some crazy ass way. Highly recommended.

I HATE dayton

Unlock a few attachments and you're spread will look a lot better. Especially the thermal view on an assault rifle. It's almost cheating.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. You're not, in fact, enjoying yourself.

No but really, COD games are fine games. Awesome graphics, good shooting mechanics, great. I just think BF is funner.

That's the dumb thing about the internet game message board kids. A game like MW3 or whatever will get killed in reviews as if it's an unplayable mess when that's just not the case.

I have to admit, Ledgewood, you're enthusiasm is infectious. I might just have someone buy me BF3 for christmas and then try it out. Or, I may even just wait on Skyrim until next year when the inevitable lull in releases happens. That should free me up for a little time with Battlefield.

Personally, I see COD as a long-time, close friend. Sure, there isn't much innovation between versions, but like the old saying goes- if it ain't broke, don't fix it. They make tweaks to the game every year and continually improve on the game mechanics and that's good enough for me. Playing a new version of COD is like slipping on a new pair of those comfortable slippers that you bought ten pairs of because you love them so much. It's just all comfy and warm.

I own two of the same pair of work shoes. One is black, one is brown. This year, they were worn out. So I bought two more.

I have never played Oblivion although I enjoyed Dragon Age and they seem to be somewhat similar. With the upcoming release of Skyrim, and the $20 price tag of Oblivion I finally picked it up last night. My Mother-in-law is always looking for christmas ideas so I'll probably tell her to get Skyrim which gives me a few weeks to work through Oblivion. Any quick tips?

Don't do the main quest right away... but start it sooner rather than later (because the enemies level up as you level up).

Explore. The game is several years old but the scenery to me is still incredible (though it may look dated if you've played fall out recently).
