I thought he left after his sophomore year and was drafted in the first round, ahead of Derrick Brown?!
Oh, that was the PRESEASON draft projection....

I honestly feel bad for the guy. No doubt some of it was his own doing, and he bears responsibility for that. But, when you have a sucky player-development coach, it's a lot harder to tap your potential.

More on him than on Gregory.
At the D-I level, with aspirations of going pro, you know what you need to build upon. Wright knew he couldn't go left better than his fan base. He knew his jumper needed work. He knew that his opponents knew.
Holloway is going to go pro, and part of that is the Xavier coaching staff. The majority of that is him kicking his own ass working out on his own. Wright didn't do that, and thus, is D-League. Brown, West, Grant, and eventually Holloway... Yea, they have or are doing that.
There's the difference between pre-season champions, and ACTUAL champions.

He'll probably do great.
They never call traveling in the pros.

I agree that Chris Wright bears the blame for Chris Wright more than any other person. I think he read his own pre season press clippings instead of hitting the hard wood.

This from the guy who would rant incessantly about "the High Flyer."

Joke's on everyone else. The NBDL is actually going to have a season this year, unlike the NBA. Brilliant strategic move by Wright!

Haha he'll be making more money this year than Kyrie Irving.
