Beasley just dropped a bomb on them. Here's the link from Sports by Brooks. (http://http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/beasley-admits-ncaa-violations-implicates-huggins-29891)

Really only surprised it took this long to come out. It was pretty obvious at the time the only reason Hill got the job was b/c of Beasley.

Not really sure where this falls with NCAA violations.... Paying for a player, paying for his mothers rent and car, among other things seems like a pretty big no no.... Huggins might have some time away from college hoops coming his way...

Bob Huggins has no integrity.

...

About as blatant as you can get. Surprised his mom wanted to move to Manhattan, KS, of all places, for any amount of money.

I dislike Huggins as much as anyone else......but what did he do wrong ?

Ok, so he hired an assistant coach ? And as a result Beasley goes go K-State ?

So what. I dont think he broke any NCAA rules.

I'm also pretty sure that Huggins is smart enough to not get caught up in payments to Beasly's mother for rent etc.

Did he know about it ? I'm SURE he did. Can you prove it ? Good luck.

With sanctions pending, will Frank Martin remain at Kansas State or return to his home planet?

If that season is wiped out does that mean we no longer held Beasley to 1 point for 39 minutes of that game?

His performance that night makes a lot more sense if he was never really there.

I asked my buddies if they wanted to leave at the under 16 minute timeout in the first half. The game was already over.

This looks more like an agent deal than a Huggins deal. No question he bought Beasley by buying Hill, but I don't think that's any big revelation. Also, there is no mention of Martin in the story at all.

Also there doesn't seem to be a crime in the NCAA about buying a coach to get a player. Kansas gave Mario Chalmers dad a job and surprisingly he committed there.

Question? Is the statute of limitations on NCAA rules violations still FOUR (4) years ? Would this current season now be the beginning of the fifth year??? Just Wondering?
If true, all this would be moot unless they got a Reggie Bush rule in place. None of this is a surprise because Huggins slime factor has been a given for years. But his supporters will still hate Cronin. And deservedly so.:(

I tend to blame Joel Bell far more than Bob Huggins on this one.

This is not the first time Chuggy did this sort of thing. YTG (Cronnin) got his first college gig as an assistant at uc by getting Art Long to commit to uc... I'm not saying it was worth it for Huggins to hire YTG for, of all players, Art Long...but Art did give us a few more bullets to shoot at the uc reputation with the whole punching a police horse thing.

Most likely.

It's a violation if he played a role in supplying cash and/or gifts to his family, but I think that was more Joel Bell than it was Huggins.

I have always thought Huggins was a piece of sheet but this has been done before. See Kansas: Mario Chalmers and Danny Manning. If it were found to be illegal, I think we would have heard about it by now. Still think Huggins is a fat, corrupt, piece of sheet though.
