MoMo Jones, the former AZ guard who transferred to Iona was granted an NCAA waiver to play this year.

While I'm happy for the kid, and also Jordan Latham, I really don't understand the rules, sometimes.

He has a sick grandmother and he left Arizona to be closer to her. I'm guessing that's why they granted the waiver.

Yep. The NCAA often grants waivers for things like this.
