Finally got caught up and watched the finale last night. Wow. Next season is going to be the last...can't wait to see how they tie everthing up. IMHO, this season was the best of the series and it ranks up there amongst the best seasons of television I've watched. Superb. Cranston has to get another Emmy and I wouldn't be shocked if Paul and the dude who plays Gus don't end up battling it out for supporting actor.
Breaking Bad is right...damn.
Anyone else watch it?

Yes. This past season was unreal. Very quality stuff. Can't wait to see how things are resolved with the final season.

Have watched some and it looks great. I will have to try to catch up. I started watching American Horror Story on FX, which I think is pretty good.

The last three episodes of the season are about 9.5, 9, 10. Intense, unsettling, crazy. Do yourself a favor and get caught up.

I like American Horror Story too. I've heard Walking Dead is solid but I haven't watched it. Just finished Breaking Bad and am currently in Dexter mode

Giancarlo Esposito was awesome as Gus Fring, but Aaron Paul will likely win Best Supporting Actor again. I think the episode where Jesse came clean at the narcotics anonymous meeting sealed it for him.

Good to know. Might have to actually get cable by then. Or borrow someone else's dvr...
I haven't read through this thread because I still need to see season 4. I ordered it on Amazon awhile ago but it still isn't released apparently. The show is freaking awesome though, from I've see through the first three seasons.

I'm also waiting for season 4. I'm pumped. At times the show feels too intense. I wished it moved at a little more relaxed pace. I will need to get myself mentally prepared for my season 4 marathon. But it's definitely awesome.

Oh, man. If this is how you have felt thru the first three seasons, you need to prepare yourself. I'm telling you...season 4 of Breaking Bad just blew my mind. As I re-read this thread, I remembered those last 3 episodes. All of you that hasn't seen season 4 and are waiting for DVD or Netflix...I envy you. The very same envy I would feel for anyone who hasn't watched The Wire...yeah, that much.
I just got caught up and finished season 4. Holy sheet. The last few episodes were just incredible. Not for the faint of heart. I can't wait for season 5 to start and see where the writers take this story next. There are a few questions that were left unanswered. I almost wish I had spaced out watching the episodes a little more so I wouldn't have to wait another month to see more, but it's hard to stop. It's one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Wow. I'm excited to watch it. I just put it at the top of my Netflix queue.

The 4th season of Breaking Bad is now on netflix instant.
I'm just 3 episodes in. So maybe I'm rushing to judgment. But I'm beginning to dislike the show. It's so depressing.
There's not a remotely likable or redeemable character on the show. That's one thing I appreciate about Mad Men. Nearly all of the characters are awful people. But there is Peggy Olson, who is incredibly likable and easy to root for as she navigates through the world of WASPY sexism. And Don is at least attempting to change his life and live in a more honest way.
Walt is a hopeless character. This is going to end badly for him. We all know it. But in the earlier seasons, Jesse came across as somewhat likable. There was some hope for him. His character seemed to have depth. But season 3 and the beginning of season 4 showcase him as a cruel, uninteresting idiot. And throw Skyler in that same group. I guess Hank is the most likable character on the show. ugghh.

I think the show has an impending sense of doom, no doubt. But I guess I disagree with the show having no likeable characters. Granted, I'm up to date on the show...but I think Jesse is a likeable character. I also think Walt is understandable...I mean, he has become evil much like Michael Corleone. The transformation is comparable....and for both, its been amazing to watch. Not sure how Walt is any different than Tony Soprano, Omar, Stinger Bell, etc. Bad guys you somewhat ending up rooting for...even though you may not want to. No spoilers here, Guy, but Walt doesn't end up getting any better...the show is called Breaking Bad.
Even though I don't care a lot about the Emmys....seeing as how The Wire was only nominated once during the entire series (joke). I am interested to see who wins supporting actor this year. Aaron Paul, Gus Fring or Peter Dinklage. Good luck trying to figure that one out. All were absolutely superb. I think and hope that Gus Fring gets the "W" this year.

Ha! true. Yes, I probably should have seen Walt's moral decline coming.

Something crazy must have happened on Breaking Bad last night because I'm getting a lot of, "I CAN'T BELIEVE THE SHOW WENT THERE!!!" tweets on my feed.
It sucks to be a season behind.

Dude, you need to get caught up. Especially being a Twitter guy, you don't want to see a spoiler. I have a feeling this season is about to really pick up in the last few episodes. Something awful is going to happen... Breaking Bad, for my money, is the best show on television from top to bottom.
Speaking of Twitter, those damn awful tweets that are popping up at the bottom of the screen are ruining Shark Week for me. It's very annoying when you're trying to focus on a close-up of a hungry shark and then a third of the screen is cut off so you can read, "dayum yo dat shark is legit #wouldntmesswitdat." God, Twitter is awful.

I started to watch Breaking Bad on Netflix earlier this spring and I haven't stopped talking about the show since. My friends all told me that I needed to watch it and I took my time getting around to it. I wish I would have started it sooner. I am all caught up (yes, up to date on this season) and I can't believe how great the show still is. A lot of shows start out good and then falter. This show keeps getting better and better. Bryan Cranston is hands down the best actor on tv right now.

I did the exact same thing this past spring and feel the same way. I am caught up and regret not getting into the show sooner despite hearing so many good things about it. As much as I love the show, I will say it isn't easy to watch most of the time. It's just difficult watching Walt slowly go down the dark path he is on.
