I am on a bit of a kick to get more stuff made in the US, so I am promoting American-made stuff where I can. The shot glass below is made in TX by a factory where most of the work is done by special needs workers. I am going to sell this item on a couple of websites, but other than that, I am not involved in the product or sales. I am just pimping this baby out.

The shot glass is called the SIDEKICK. It is made with 2 parts. You put things in the bottom of the glass and snap on the top. A "screen" in the bottom of the top half allows liquid to flow back and forth, but it keeps whatever you put in the bottom in the bottom. The picture shown has dry ice and a glow thingy in the bottom with a blue liquid shot. The effect is way cool, and it is totally safe to drink.

Seems that we have a few bar and marketing people on this board that might know how to help Todd get some business.

It's just carbon dioxide. Maybe you would find peppermint schnapps to be safer.

Peppermint Scnhapps is still a little strong for me.

In all seriousness, that thing is pretty cool.

In the bottom I would put tequila and in the top, I would put MORE tequila.

Or in the bottom, I might put vicodin, and in the top, vodka.

Seriously you could do some neat things like tiny batched infused alcohols. Put ginger in the bottom and vodka in the top or a raspberry in the bottom and vodka in the top (it would have to be a strong flavor in the bottom to work).

I assume this is plastic? Very cool look.

Have you tried it out? Does the screen allow for free flow when you're drinking from it, or does some booze get caught in the bottom?

It's a nice acrylic glass. Yes, I tested them out, and it works just fine. If you want to eat whatever is in there or get the last few drops, the bottom works like a cup when you pop the top off. It is made for bars to use which means that it has to stand up to use and washing a lot of times.

Put Sidekick Shot Glass into Google, and there are some videos with Todd Miller, the inventor showing ways to use it. I can think of goods ways to use a tumbler and drinking glass that use the same technology.

Yes, but I see it mostly as a way for bars to make extra $$$ by selling gimmicky shots to people that have too many bills in their pocket. If a hot bar gal pops by with a tray of smoking shots and wants to know if I want one, I am probably going to buy a round.

No, it's definitely a cool product, I was just being an asshole.
