The leader is -9. Some of these scores on this Nationwide Tour are "pinball-seque". Some week, some guy is going to win with a minus 30.

You know it's a bad round for Jason when he pars 3 of the 4 par 5s. Luckily he eagled the other. He'll have his work cut out for himi tomorrow to make the cut.

After Rd 1, project the cut to be (-3). It's too early this week to panic, but it does not help the situation that a bunch of guys chasing Top 25 posted good rounds.

It should also be said these are courses Jason sees for the first time while some more experienced Nationwide players have played the tournaments several times in past years.

Even if he cannot survive this week's cut, he remains in very good position for Top 25 purposes.

3 under through 4 today. -4 total. If he can get another stroke or two today, he'll put himself in a nice position to go into the weekend and pick up a chunk of cash to protect his position on the money list.

Another 71, so Jason gets a well-deserved weekend off after working the last 7 weekends.

Low 60 and ties is the cut off. J is at 63 right now and none of the guys on the course that are above him are exactly tearing it up. In fact, most of them are over par.

He still might sneak in.

Almost impossible; it's not the scores of guys tied/behind Jason but the guys in front. As of now, all 8 guys who are (-3) would need drop back to move the cut line to (-2) and still have nobody move up.

Get the driver straightened and see you next week. Be careful if somebody currently between 20-50 on the $$$ list wins....

Fell from 12th to 13th and still has a very comfy lead on 26th place. Needs about $15k of prize money in the last three tournments (he's not playing this week) to be safe.
