How does everyone think the A-10 standings will turn out this year?? It'll be a little different not having Xavier as the clear favorite as we have been the past few years... I have no idea how the bottom of the league will do but if I had to guess I would say Dayton, Temple, Xavier, Char, and Duquesne will be better than everyone else. I know we lost A LOT so many people are discounting us but when I look over our roster I still see us as an extremely talented team with a lot of potential. I think Amy will bring a new system and I'm looking forward to watching.
What do you think???

I think it is entirely possible to return to the NCAA tournament this year and make a run. I also wanted to see what people thought about the non conference schedule and how many games we need to win to give ourselves a chance at an at large bid. It really is a tough schedule.
I will say that we should beat:
EKU
UC
Morehead St.
Ohio
UNC - Wilmington
Eastern Illinois
I say that we could beat:Miss St.
South Carolina
Syracuse
Oklahoma
Middle Tenn St
I say that it will be REAL tough to beat:
Louisville
Stanford
I would be happy and think we have a shot at an at-large if we win 8 of those games!

yup, 8-4 out of conference would be pretty awesome, not sure we can reach that plateau,
I think that 7-5 or 6-6 are more realistic.
The A-10 though, who the hell knows?????? It's so very very hard to tell how these teams will produce one year to the next.
Certainly UD and Temple should be at or near the top, I see XU close to it, certainly would be very very tough, nar impossible, to run the table in conference this year but I think our group will surprise many people. It''s come down to a "run" in the tourney though, that will be the key.

I agree, PA. Maybe I'm delusional, but I really think this team could be a lot better than people think they will be. There isn't a lack of talent here. There is, however, a lack of experience. I'd be thrilled with 7-5.

We had similar hopes in 2001-02 when a boatload of experience is being replaced; at least the 2003-04 season provided a WNIT appearance following the graduations of Waugh and Piipari from the previous season.
No matter how talented this crew may be, there is a lot of turnover from last season.
