View Full Version : Jack Daniels Honey
Has anyone tried this yet? Anyone know of a fine establishment that is serving this yet? I will need to sample it before I go in for a whole fifth.

Does anyone else hate it when whisk(e)y manufacturers do the above to their product?
Maybe it's because I'm from Kentucky but I am a whisk(e)y purist. No need to be getting it all fancy with honey or cherry added to the drink. Give me ice and/or water and we'll be fine.
/rereads the above and realized that I sound 60.

Whiskey manufacturers can do it, because they're trash. When bourbon makers do these sorts of things, THEN there's a problem!

Jim Beam has done it and it is technically a bourbon.

Wuss-Whiskey. Like Whiskey flavored cough syrup.
BTW GoMuskies, Wild Turkey has also done it. JD is actually late to the party here.
I don't remember if it was JD or another brand, but the honey whiskey I tried reminded me of paregoric. Not good... at all.

I went to the clinic today and the nurse practitioner handed me A.A. literature when she saw I drink 40 beers a week. She said I was "frying my liver."
Actual conversation:
RN: why haven't you tried to stop?
FG: because alcohol is freakin' great.
Then she refused to give me antidepressants til I drastically reduce my intake. No way I'm becoming one of those Starbucks zombies with the hollowed- out eyes look.
