And the Xavier Nation breathes a sigh of relief once again. Mike Bobinski is still Xavier AD. BTW, many UC alums and boosters are very, very happy.

It was a good move for him... and UC is probably glad they can get someone fresh in there as well. I don't think he did a bad job really. He's more of a status quo guy IMO and not enough of a motivator for fund raising the way Bob Goin was.
I don't know that U of I made a terrible choice.
Now the question is...will Bobo go to UC?

Not a chance.
Leave a school on the verge of Final Four greatness to join mediocrity in football and basketball?

After his success at XU, it would be pretty hard to hate on Bobo.
But if he goes to UC, all bets are off.
Not a chance.

I disagree. If he is really wanting to go to a school with football UC is a smart choice. Hell, he doesn't even need to sell his house.

It would probably be smart of him to move and go unlisted because his house would be vandalised if he made that move.

We're Xavier people, we wouldn't vandalize his house over that.
Were he coming from UC to X, then you may have a point.

After what Tay Baker accomplished at Xavier, I don't think we have to worry about that.

Today Bobinski said he was not a candidate then an hour later there was a hot air balloon seen leaving Lunken airport with him in it. Weird. I think they said he was also wearing the Bearcat suit. Time to find a new AD.

You are correct, sir. And according to DJ last night on channel 9, the people that work in the athletic office at uc were "positively giddy" over Thomas leaving. Must be a real prince to work for.
