You were born on the same day that the University of Dayton had their last player drafted into the NBA.
Negele Knight - Round 2 by the Suns.
The 1990 NBA Draft took place on June 27, 1990 in New York City, New York.
Cheers !

I asked Blackburn Review on twitter last night which is more embarrassing, the losing streak to X or the fact that they haven't had anyone drafted since the 90s. He said the streak.

Out of the last 4 players from Dayton to be drafted, Sato (Dayton Christian), Cook( Dunbar), D. Brown (C.J), Cole (Dunbar) not one of them went to UD. That says an awful lot right there.

Pretty amazing with all of UD's lack of success, they somehow managed to pass Xavier as a program.

Do I remember right that Negele Knight got hurt in the 1990 NCAA Tournament first round game, derailing them in their second round game? That was a good Dayton team (as much as it pains me to say it), but, happily, their last good team.

Kerry Kittles was born in Dayton, although he did not go to high school there. However, Ron Harper and Jim & John Paxson were both born and raised in the Dayton.
Since Knight was from Detroit, that means zero of the last 8 Dayton born NBA players have attended the home town university.

Kerry Kittles was born in Dayton? That's quite a tidbit of knowledge. Well done on the research sir.
It used to crack me up every year when I would look through the Dayton media guide and they had a couple pages of "Players in the NBA under Head Coach Brain Gregory" and it listed players from Michigan State. Looks like they are going to have to scramble now

And that year Xavier went to the Sweet 16.
Ahh, yes. Another punk job.

And that same year Xavier had 2 players drafted into the NBA; both of which went on to have long and prosperous NBA careers.
That's yet another punk job. Just for fun.

By the way, where did Chris Wright end up getting drafted after returning to Dayton 2 years in a row to better his stock?

Norm Grevey was the one that got clotheslined by Stephen Bardo; who knows if Dayton could have knocked off Arkansas with their team healthy. An Elite 8 matchup that could have been...
