In general what is best way to get away game tickets; Xavier ticket office or opponents ticket office? Thanks.

I usually target a couple of away games a season, contact the opposing teams box office to find out when individual game tickets go on sale, and then call the morning the tickets are available. I've been able to get decent seats that way.
Not sure if you can do better through X or not. I would doubt it.

Going through Xavier's ticket office gives you a better shot at sitting in a Xavier section; I've done it for the Tennessee game a few years back along with the first Xavier-Charlotte game at Halton. It really depends on where you want to sit.

Good point, I'm always surrounded by the enemy at the away games I attend...
In the process of moving to Nashville, so definitely plan on attending the Vandy and Memphis games this year.

You can always check with the ticket office but they only get a set amount and out of that amount comes team tickets, administration tickets and then they offer them to the AFO and then general public....

Just scored some FedEx Suite tickets for the Memphis game. Sweet! I sat next to the "real" Blindside mom the last time I had those tickets.

I know for the Vandy game that Stub Hub is the only option out there right now for tickets.

Vandy message boards will generally have some offers closer to game day. Quite a few people will not be able to make the game and will be looking to unload their tickets. I have had very good luck over the years getting to our SEC games this way.

The ticket office took my credit card info and told me they would be $25/each, but they gave the indication they're not sure how many tickets they're getting and couldn't really give me an answer on when I would know if I got some.
