My wife and I are looking for a new primary care physician after our doctor left practice to work for the VA. We live in Downtown Cincinnati so the closer to downtown the better; the doctor also needs to be on the Ohio side of the river for insurance purposes. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I missed this the first time around. Try Dr. Stephen Cleves in Hyde Park. He is also a Xavier grad. Solid guy and pretty well thought of as a physician.

I've heard good things about this guy. He loves kids and is very hands on.

When I was still in Cincy I used Dr. Nunlist-Young in Hyde Park. He was my favorite Dr. so far.

Dr Joseph Pflum is a St Xavier man, and an XU grad. His office is in Kenwood, and he is a very good PCP.

+1, but his practice might be full. His partners are great, too.

As a rule of thumb I refuse to have a PCP who matriculated at UC

Dr. Herbert would be a bad move.

So we ended up with Dr. T.J. Redington at Christ Hospital and I couldn't be more pleased. My wife had a second echocardiogram with her cardiologist this morning and Dr. Redington called to discuss the results with us this afternoon. He is very caring and extremely articulate when explaining things. It is always nice to find a good doctor. Thank you all for your suggestions.

When I lived in Cincy, and was looking for a dr, this was also the case. I asked the receptionist to ask Dr Cleves if he'd make an exception for a fellow Xavier alum. She called back and told me I was in.

That's the power of X!
