The Beard is Dead...

So, I have a job interview here today for a marketing job.

Naturally, I go into Great Clips to get a trim, mostly because I have a $15 gift card for there. I stroll in, thinking a simple #4 trim wouldn't be too difficult, and when she asked if I wanted her to trim my beard, I said, "Why not? Don't change it's shape. I just want the beard trimmed down with a #3 or 4."

"Sure thing" She says.

I close my eyes as she lifts my chin to get under it, and when I open, I have one of those New Jersey, pencil thin beards underneith. More so, she couldn't get the cheeks even after about 6 or 7 attempts of trying.

I just told her to stop, paid (with cash, since their card reader wasn't reading their gift cards...the idiots), and went home to even everything out, in hopes of salvaging my beard.

Please don't be disappointed in me.

I gave up though. The damage was done. I had to shave all the remaining facial hair. Good-bye beard. So, I'll be growing it back out asap, which means, we're going to start taking bets as to how long it'll take me to restore the glory.

You've inspired me to return to my old school barber. He was more of a barber/therapist anyway. I hate going to a chain and having to redo my entire history( tho sometimes I make up an entire persona- last winter I told the girl I moonlighted as a mall Santa).

You saw the picture of yourself and the beautiful ass you were with at the Dayton game, realized what a fine time that had been...and that it was during your pre-beard phase... which you have decided to resurrect.

Bad news, it won't work. You've got about as much chance as I do of having my hair turn back from white, or grow back where it's gone.

Beards have a shelf life anyway and methinks that Titan's was past its expiration date. Was there any food, small animals, parts of your girlfriend or money found within the underbrush?

Such a wonderful way of putting it. The small, woodland critters will have to find a new home temporarily...but they'll come back. It's like a bushfire. It wipes everything out, but them, something beautiful begins anew.

The lady actually doesn't read this board at all. While she likes going to the basketball games and even her family has started to cheer for X whenever they watch basketball... She doesn't give two shits about this site and doesn't read it (or at least so I'm told).

Geez, come to think of it, that could all be a plot. No wonder I'm in trouble every damn day.


As far as the job goes, I'm going to still see whats out there. It's a sales job and personally, I'm trying to avoid sales jobs like my life depends on it.

Let us know how it goes. Also, be careful with sales jobs. There are a million 'scam' sales jobs out there. I walked out of several interviews when I was interviewing for my first job out of college because it became apparent that they were basically pyramid schemes of "Amway" type of sales jobs. They typically are evasive when you ask about the job and when you ask about salary they tell you that "You can make upwards of $100K per year!!!!!!". Typically there was one guy, if any, that has ever made that there.

A good sales job can be very fun and very lucrative though. Good luck.
