Perhaps, the rapture really was Saturday and only the true believers were taken into heaven.

I wonder how close to right now the world would look if that had really happened.

No, no, no. Camping finally spoke. He misinterpreted things. God's good grace cancelled the death and destruction but the world will still officially end 10/21/11 with rapture and judgement. No word on what his followers are supposed to do now that they've sold all their worldly goods and rationed them thru 5/21/11.
