I'll probably just have a couple beers or something.
Here's a fun article to read. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43106614/ns/us_news-the_new_york_times/)

How do the Mayans feel about their end of the world plans in 2012 being preempted by the Rapture tomorrow? I'd be pissed.

Sweet. I had a big presentation at work on Tuesday that I was going to prepare for today. I'll just blow it off now.

This is great. I will not have to pay my student loans. I am working on a volunteer project for Catholic Charities tomorrow. So I have that going for me. Which is nice.
Do you know what time the rapture will be? My plan is to attend the 5pm vigil so evening would be great.

Around 6pm in each time zone.

So we'll know what to expect by the time it gets here, that's good thinking by God. I hope CNN has live coverage.
When I first heard about the coming rapture, I thought it might be a drive for spirituality through drugs. Hopes were quickly dashed.
I tried several times to read the full page ad in USA Today earlier in the week while comsuming my monthly 4 Way. But I apparently have no aptitude for the grammar and syntax of fundamentalist contemporary biblical interpretation. It all seemed like gibberish and self referential claptrap. Snipe at his most manic is a genius compared to this crew.
The only thing I took away is that Harold Camping is still a prophet genius, he just made a slight miscalculation with his original prediction of 1994.

Emp, why are you so cynical? Harold Camping has said in every interview that the title of his book was 1994? and that the question mark means that it was merely a possibility in 1994, not a certainty.
Don't be a hater. God won't save haters.

I like Bob Kevoian's idea. I'm going to go around rubbing my junk on as many things as possible.

“I have mixed feelings,” Ms. Haddad Carson said. “I’m very excited about the Lord’s return, but I’m fearful that my children might get left behind. But you have to accept God’s will.”
That is really, really sad. How can someone act like that towards their kids and claim to be worthy of being among God's chosen? Aren't you supposed to agonize over losing your kids, even if it is God's will? Did Abraham have 'mixed emotions' when he was asked to kill his son?
Me, I'll be out with friends. If we aren't both called up in the rapture, hubby and I will have our own end of the world celebration afterwards.

Actually, the world doesn't end tomorrow (at least not for all of us), only the rapture happens tomorrow. The world ends 5 months later according to this.
"Those who aren’t saved in the May 21 Rapture will suffer a different fate, and an End of the World date 5 months after May 21st."

I thought of that too, but then it hit me--that's no different than what I do every other day.
I typed this message with my junk.

About 10 years ago I told my friend the world would probably come to an end if he and my other friend ever got married. I am in their wedding tomorrow, looks like I might be right.

Yes but if 6 pm Saturday passes and everyone is still here, did the rapture not happen or are we all just sinners?

I think that's supposed to be a bad thing but it somehow seems like a bedroom euphemism.

So October 21? What kind of a cruel God would end the world right before the best basketball season in Xavier history is about to start? Not my God.

I just saw a "rapture truck", complete with biblical verse, drive down the street. If it were anywhere but L.A. I would stop and stare but here all the wackos just get in line.
