He will have 2 years of eligibility left to play football at Texas A+M or Texas St.
Weird.

His brother Mike Goodson is a RB in the NFL so its probably a better long term move for him.

Just seems different to do 3 years at a D1 program as the PG then leave for football for 2 years. I'm sure it's good for him, just odd. Another strange thing is the difference between A+M and TExas St. Those are two COMPLETELY different football programs (yes, I understand the family connection), but the disparity between those options.....

It has to be Texas State. A&M makes no sense at this point.

He'll never make money playing basketball. Football is his only option in that regard.

I agree. I read that to say "I think I could play at a school like Texas A&M, but I'm going to be bringing my talents to Texas State."

His brother played at A&M. So that is the only reason I could see them taking him.
