To MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECHIGAN! That's 160 RPI Michigan.

Ohio State now has 9 losses and their RPI drops to 47. They still have games with Wisconsin, at Indiana, Purdue at Minnesota and Michigan State. They have two very bad losses to Iowa and Michigan and are in serious trouble.

Looks like Beaknose's deal with Satan has expired.

Sean Miller was roasted on the other board the year after he lost 3 guys to professional basketball- 2 draftees to the NBA and one to China, plus lost his most experienced pivotman to injury early. No one seemed to want to cut him any slack, so no slack for Beaknose who chose his own bed. Toucan has had no injuries to speak of to anybody and they are still going to hell in a handbasket. These are his recruits.

Not only that, he no longer has the Indy connections like he once did, and he's getting out-recruited in his own backyard of Ohio by Sean and, arguably, Mick Cronin.

2 very bad losses to sub-150 RPI teams, 9 losses and the toughest part of his B10 schedule coming up. They could very possibly wind up 18-13 in regular season.

Where's the genius, when his team's 3 pointers aren't falling? UHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Matta still has lots of talent on his team, but they haven't beaten anyone this year besides Florida, and they're a bubble team themselves. Michigan is terrible. Buckeyes bubble might have burst today.

Rip on Matta all you want cause I can't stand the guy, but no way you can say he is being out recruited by Sean or Mick or anyone in the midwest. The two big recruits X and UC have coming in (Frease and Gates) were not recruited hard or wanted by OSU because they got the best big man in the country in BJ Mullens. He's got 2 five stars coming in next year (along with a 4 star and a 3 star), he's in with a lot of 5 stars in the 09 class, and he already has 3 of the top 10 players in the 10 class comitted. Again rip on him all you want for his mediocre team this year, but the guy can flat out recruit. He is not being outrecruited by Sean, Mick, or pretty much anyone in the country.

And depending on how many guys leave early for the pros over the next year-plus, he may end up stealing Staten and Payne, whether they've verballed to UD/X or not.

Matta is a great coach. The only difference between this year and last is that he only has really good freshmen instead of NBA lottery picks. If Koufos stays, and he should, OSU will be right back in the top 10 next year. Mullins is ready to be a big time college center right now, let alone in 9 months. I saw him drop a 62 point and 23 board facial on a really good team at the Flyin to the Hoop event.

A "Matta" of opinion on how good Mullens is:

From Scout.com:

"The challenge for him (Mullens) will be going from "prospect" to "player." By that we mean getting into the mix and beginning to accumulate dominating performances."

By the way, Mullens' team lost their game to Yancey Gates' Withrow team in the National City Classic in January.

Time will tell. Matta got Diebler too, the alleged "sharpshooter". Diebler, through today, is shooting 31% from the field for the season.

Anyone who didn't see that coming for Diebler wasn't paying attention. The guy's a good shooter, but people harped way too much on his points and records at UPHS. Him winning Mr Basketball over Koufos was criminal. He shouldn't have even been above Wright or Dante Jackson. His daddy made sure his team played a system where little Jonny got to shoot to his little heart's desire. He himself averaged a shot per 35 seconds played or something insane like that. Throw in largely weak, weak competition until the later rounds of the state tourney, and his numbers were inflated big time.

OSU is lucky they didn't lose to Michigan twice this season. The Wolverines had that game in control for the first 30-35 minutes until OSU took the lead late in that one.

Good Lord. I get to come here and read how awful Thad Matta is.

Great. Grand. Thad sucks. Man do I feel better. What's Churchill Odia doing? Man does that kid suck.
