Strengths:
Allerik is one fo the more unique players in the Class of 2013. He can play the 2 or the 3. He has the ability to create as a passer. He possesses an exceptionally strong upper body and can best be described as a power wing player. He plays like he's rolling down a hill.

Weaknesses:
As he progresses it will be important to define what position he actually plays in college. His ballhandling is an issue that needs to be addressed. Also, his jumpshot tends to flatten out and he needs to become a better 3-point shooter.

Bottom Line:
There's no denying that Freeman is an absolute weapon. He's a skilled scorer and facilitator and his body is ready right now to play in college. He's best described as a Marquette-type wing player.

2. Junior Etou
3. Allerik Freeman

Interesting that X is on on two of the top remaining guys, with 2 scholarships still to use for 2013, if I am not mistaken. Would we use both on these fellas?

I would think we need more depth at the 3, 4, and 5 right now with Semaj, Randolph, Davis and Davis in the backcourt. That being said you don't turn top 100 talent down.

One scouting report I read is that he probably would need to play the 3 because his ball handling and shooting are not yet at the level to be a SG.

My bad. Incidentally, for those with access to Scout Rick Broering has some interesting information to share about Freeman's decision and XU's role in it. Let's just say Freeman's decision is nothing we should be losing any sleep over here in Muskieland.

I have no information about this specific instance, but my question would be, if in fact we didn't want him why did we bring him in for a visit?
