From ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?columnist=oneil_dana&id=3221302)

"Late checks, money crises, ice machines that don't work, a student serving as athletic trainer without any formal training or CPR certificate, a basketball budget that wouldn't cover the expenses of one athlete at a top-tier university, a staff made up of just two coaches, and road meals that include whatever's on the local buffet restaurant menu -- that is the choppy river that carries Alcorn."

I feel bad for the small schools, but if they want a bigger budget, they need to do a better job at fundraising, raising public interest, getting donors, hiring better coaches, etc.
God helps those who help themselves.

Then again, alot of schools don't have a football program..so perhaps Alcorn should consider using their limited resources for educational purposes.
