Amy has done a great job with the team her two years here. It is evident they respect her and listen to her. She has been coaching 8 years and will make a great head coach. Xavier University would be lucky to have her not only as alumni but as head coach of the women's team as well, Go Amy!!!

Have you ever watched her give a pep talk during the game? I think she knows what she's doing. Would be a positive force cause the girls respect her and she knows what she is talking about fromexperience.!!

One of the big questions I have with Amy is how effectively can she recruit? That will be a big issue with any other candidates as well.

That's what I was thinking... Recruiting is key in the women's game if you ask me because there are such talent gaps... I'm not sure Amy could get top notch talent.

Correct, recruiting is so much of the game, I mean like 75% of your success is due to who you can bring in. McGuff did that job well, and it is really what has put this program in the position it is in. He learned the recruiting game from his time in South Bend, and did it to near perfection here.
I like Amy, as a player she was everyone's favorite, her effort, heart is unmatched. She has the smarts, the fire, but does she have the connections??

I would love to see Amy get the HC job. Would love to see her bring Tara Booth back from Hew Hampshire to be one of her coaches. I think Amy could do a great job coaching. Not sure what players have been hers from recruiting since she has been here. But I do worry about her recruiting. If she doesn't get it, I hope she stays, maybe gets the Assistant Head Coach position letting her know she will be next.

Tara isn't at UNH anymore — I'm not sure she's even coaching. Coach Cole hired Boothe, but Coach Cole was let go by New Hampshire last year.
I'd love to see Amy stay on staff and I do think she'd make a terrific coach, but I'm not sure she'd be ready just yet. Isn't she the third assistant, though? That would be an awfully big jump to go from third assistant to head coach.
