Hmm - political contributions are not okay, but it's perfectly alright to allow guys who should be ineligible to play in the Sugar Bowl. Not a great comparison to be sure, but is this really shocking?

In other words, they'll just swap the Fiesta for the Cotton Bowl in the BCS. Who really cares?

This is very interesting having just finished "Death to the BCS (http://www.amazon.com/Death-BCS-Definitive-Against-Championship/dp/1592405703)". It's exactly in line with what is laid out in the opening chapters of the book.

Are people FINALLY starting to see that the bowl system makes money for the bowls, but not necessarily for the universities?? and that by comparision, an NCAA playoff would generate far more money AND be a hundred times better??

If you haven't yet, take time to read Death to the BCS. It is a great breakdown of how these bowls actually work.

If the BCS bowls go away, will there still be BCS conferences and BCS basketball programs?
