Those best/worse case scenarios?

I think we are well on our way to worst case:

1. The flagship loses their first game
2. To a big east school
3. In spectacular fashion
4. UC gets deeper into the tournament
5. Butler gets to elite eight again
6. Arizona gets to elite eight, I know some of us still like Sean, but we didn't need validation of his press conference "I'm going where I have a better chance to win the tournament slam" so quickly.
7. Big east has an elite eight term
8. Richmond in sweet 16 and temple making it to second game. While good for the A10, it has to bruise the ego of the flagship a bit.
9. Potentially watching two teams we beat make it to final four.
10. Mack and Tu rumors

Coaster, you are well on your way to a long off-season slump! Me too.
Trying to look at the same things, I'm often left with the "what if" syndrome.
Beating Butler, and almost Florida, makes one wonder why we aren't in Elite 8.
And the answer is probably lack of depth. When you play with 5 1/2 guys all year, you just don't have any options. I wish in a couple of those games when Tu wasn't on that we could have gone more inside, or had the 10-15 ft shot guy, but we didn't.

On the bright side, none of the 14 schools ahead of us have an opening that might attract Mack. Tu not having a Jordanesque NCAA experience to attract pro scout interest may return him to us for another year, and we look to field a great group next year.

Arizona may kill the bigleast chance for any team in the final four, and set up a potential Miller/Matta showdown. That would be an interesting game.

Nevermind... I misread number 10. I thought that you meant that there were rumors about them having words or something... it's still early in the morning (that's my excuse for half assed comprehension)

Mack/Tu Rumors - just the garden variety coaching carousel rumors for MAck and NBA aspiration rumors for Tu. Coach Mack went on record yesterday on 12 to say that both are false. It's true at least two schools have contacted Mack, one very seriously, but he isn't interested. He also said he thinks TU will return. I agree, Tu not looking that great in the Marquette game will help us on that front.

I agree Miller/Matta would make a great game.

Oh, to add salt in the wounds:

11. AP#5 2 seed - Women's team losing
12. On their own floor
13. To a Big East Team

and just for kicks:
14. Delta having a great fare sale to Newark this week
15. That "worst Big East team in tournament" making it to S16
