That Henson dude from UNC is an idiot. Probably should have been goaltending on that last play. Would have ended up being a 2, but he didn't know that when he went up to tip that ball away.

The bigger issue here is that Lorenzo Romar, when asked if he had the refs check the clock stated: "We asked them and they said they already did".
There should have been 1.4 left on the clock. This is an absolute travesty and this needs to be investigated. Not to mention the 11-2 foul disparity in the 1st half along with phantom calls in parts of the 2nd. The agenda of the refs is very obvious and I am disgusted.

And yet even the bigger issue is that you have to be sure your passer and your shooter realize that you're down by three and to be sure you have to get a 3 off. No excuse for that. You simply cannot throw that pass with 0.8 left on the clock....gave the shooter no shot to get off a three.
Rampant stupidity by many players this weekend.

Bad answer by Romar. The officials never went over to check the clock.

My biggest issue--
After 3 days and constant airplay I simply cannot get that Napa commercial out of my head...

I feel like the refs wanted Kemba Walker to be a star and UConn to advance in the UC game. Walker traveled a TON and his 4 steps while hugging the ball and dishing to an open teammate for the 3 that broke UC's back.
Does the NCAA want a star? I don't know, but it appeared Kemba got the benefit of everything last night.

Those refs must work for the ESPN family of networks. At this point, Kemba is their saving grace for shamelessly pushing 11 teams into the Tourney for the past 3 months.
I used to regard The Sports Reporters as the last objective show on the network. Not anymore. This morning, with the enire sports world transfixed on the NCAA Tournament, they talked about UCONN and Kemba Walker for about a minute before talking about racism for the remainder of the show. Another pathetic attempt to divert attention away from what ESPN cannot control.

These refs in the Duke-Mich game are calling every little bump on every shot attempt. It's kind of ridiculous the number of touch fouls they are calling

Lmao it's so true! Every time it comes on I can't look away either...
Regarding the reffing ALL tournament long, I agree it has been questionable. I also noticed Kemba's preferential treatment last night...it really is disgusting. Further proof the NCAA is a criminal organization!

Not as if Ohio State needed a breatk against the Patriots, but they got one.

He sucks but Texas blew that game big time. Get a frickin rebound. The knife just went a little deeper in my back watching Miller take that AZ team to the Sweet 16.

Oh no doubt. But they battled back.
It really sucks that we are at home, while two former coaches are in the sweet 16.

Now I had to hear Steve Kerr, who absolutely sicks as a commentator, slurp Sean on doing something that had been done 6 of the last 11 seasons.
Arizona is flat out the funniest program in the country. One hand national contender, on another no one expected Sean to get here so soon.
I want a job like that.

Yep. Just did the same thing using the stopwatch on my iPhone. I ran it back 5 times and timed it from the time the Texas player got the ball until he signaled time out. All were 4.3 to 4.6 seconds. However, the post game crew, including Phil Martelli said you can't call a TO after 4 seconds. If that's right, the call was correct.

It certainly helps when you have 3 significant contributors who were supposed to go to USC one of which is the best player in the country. I guess we can't complain because without Crawford and Tu we may have not made the NCAA's the last two years.

Like we win. Without Tu and Crawford. We win.

5 of the 16 Sweet Sixteen teams will be from the non-"power" conferences. Pretty good showing. Only two true mid-majors in Butler and VCU, but that's enough for a Sweet Sixteen.
Should be an interesting week. Just wish Xavier was involved!

Pitino said that he thought VCU was playing at this level because they felt disrespected. He more or less insinuated that the talking heads need to shut the heck up. I couldn't believe I found myself agreeing with Pitino. Even though they've destroyed my brackets, I'm cheering on VCU from here on out. Why not?

See now you actually get to enjoy their run, rather than wishing they would lose so you could win some office pool!

I probably would've cheered for them either way because I love an underdog as much as the next guy. But, now it doesn't interfere with my winning anything, so it's a double win ;)

There was a note in the paper this morning that the Top 4 Marquette scorers are junior college transfers.
Not judging, just mentioning.

I'd like to have another Torraye Braggs or two. None of the other JC transfers worked out in my era (was Jeff Massey a JC transfer? If he was, he was also an exception to our JC luck).

Transfers and decommittments were common in 2008 & 2009 and Miller took over a laughable roster. Arizona missed 2 recruiting class because of the Lute drama, so there's a reason no one expected this much success this fast. There use to be a point in time where winning a PAC-10 title was a yawner. The expectations are high in Tucson, don't get it twisted.
