So, BeelzeBob lasts all of 16 1/2 hours longer in the Dance than XU.

YTG will last 25 hours longer.

MOR I hope i am wrong but I see UC winning tonight.

No way.

When 17% 3 point shooter Nancy Gates hits 2 of them in the last game, clearly SucKS had their "everything goes right" game Thursday night. It just happened to come in the NCAA.

Percentages will balance out tonight.

I don't see UC winning tonight. Kemba Walker won't pull a Tu Holloway :)

(If I don't laugh, I will start to break things. So don't judge)

I can't get into the games today. My wife and kids are out of town and I've got a nice TV and a fridge full of beer....but I just can't bring myself to care. Maybe it's just that I could not care less about WV, KY, UCLA and Florida and I'll perk up for the later six games. But I'm afraid Xavier's effort spoiled the rest of the weekend for me. Dammit.

I struggled to enjoy the early games today as well, but I have decided to adopt a few teams. I'm adopting the A10 teams because I like them both and want the A10 to look good. I also have a few friends that adopted X because of my love for them, so I am going to adopt Michigan and KSU (I know). I'm basically cheering for any non-big 6 team left as well. I would like to see BYU do well.

I think Gonzaga finishes Jimmer later. Maybe my lack of excitement is due to all the non-Big 6 teams playing each other.

That would help me with my sure thing bet of taking the under on the number of wins for the Big East in the tourney at 16.

Is there a reason why college teams don't take advantage of the 2-for-1 opportunity? I can't at all fathom why Temple just wasted all that time and essentially gave SDSU the power to decide its own fate...

Interesting interview with Brad Stevens. Basically said you can't feel good winning that way, and that he feels for Pitt. I love our Mack. But Stevens is a close 2nd in my book.

Stevens is a great coach. The play he called at the end to go up 1 was beautiful. The guy never seems to get rattled, and it's reflected in his team. They are their best at crunch time.

I am happy to see a big east team lose (and two more are guaranteed to lose tonight, obviously) but Butler, blah.

I know it sounds like sour grapes and hindsight now but I would have rather played Pitt, Georgetown, Villanova, Georgetown, and St. Johns before Marquette and Syracuse.

I am looking forward to the game vs. Butler at Hinkle next year.

Sweet Sixteen so far (assumes BYU doesn't collapse and UC and UConn don't both lose tonight):

Big East 1
A-10 1
Mtn. West 2
SEC 2
Horizon 1

Big Twelve or Big Ten will pick up a spot as well. Pretty interesting Sweet Sixteen shaping up.

From the games I've seen, he actually gets a good chunk of playing time.

But yeah, he's very undersized and lacks his father's skills.

The level of stupid on the final foul by Pitt is a head-scratcher.

My problem with both calls, is that the balls were both loose on some level...you had guys for both teams taking reasonable steps trying to make a play on the ball....and the ref pretty much gave neither guy who ended up in the defensive positions a reasonable opportunity to get disengaged before making the calls.

The call against Pitt at the end was totally ridiculous.

Neither call was close to the basket. Have to swallow your whistles there, IMO.

At first I thought the call on Mack was bad. In fact I think I said that in this post. After watching replays, it clearly was a foul. Maybe not one you call in that situation, but it was a foul.

Now the Pitt foul? No question. I don't even think it was close, and I don't think you can avoid calling it. It almost seemed intentional. Several commentators have questioned whether he was confused about the score. That seems like the only plausible answer (other than sheer dumbness).

GoMuskies
